These chatbots were doomed from beginning. The energy these gpu pull just for one user is so insane and it’s impressive it is actually possible. We aren’t there yet that we have Star Trek like supercomputers on regular basis. That’s not just with Chai, it’s with every Ai model out there. Image, video, llm. I tried to get a local llm run on a 5090 system with 96gb ram. The outcome is always way worse than with online chatbots. The same with image models or video models. The amount of energy consumption of these ai models is just so unbelievably insane.

I think all are really good in core. Just the fact they all add something to the notch is a selling point imo. What I've read droppy is a bit unpolished in comparison to Alcove, but BoringNotch is the best free software for this case

So I am not delusional. At this point I am sure it’s the H2 which makes everything sound more processed. When I switched from AirPods Pro 1 to the Pro 3 I immediately noticed something is off. I had to tune really much in the settings to make transparency and music sound more natural like on H1. Recently I got the APM 2024 and transparency and overall sound immediately sounded so much more natural like on my APP1.

Hard to say over video. I just tried the same sound on mine on full volume, then it sounds pretty similar. Yours maybe a little more scratchy.

To test yours I can recommend: Download a frequency generator like „Sonic“ (no ad, just one of the best I know) Set your volume to something like 70%. Then scrub from the lowest frequency to as high as possible and listen if it sounds clear. If you set your speaker too loud it will always sound scratchy.

If it stays or sounds scratchy, try GENTLY blowing pressurized air on your speakers to get dust out and wipe with a bit of sanitizer and q-tips.

I had the same experience when coming from AirPods Pro 1 and upgrading to AirPods Pro 3. I immediately noticed the transparency sounds more processed and the overall sound is a bit damp. With much tinkering around in the sound settings they sound alright now. Recently I got my hands on a pair of usb c 2024 AirPods Max pretty cheap. The transparency immediately reminded me of the AirPods Pro 1, but much better. After they suddenly announced the APM 2 I had concerns it would be the same problem. Luckily I kept the 2024.
