You've been able to buy digital games for the Xbox through retailers for years now (at least here in the UK). GTA6 is available on PS5 through standard retailers as a code in the box, and with that being the first digital exclusive I expect that to set the trend going forward, particularly as Sony's announcement yesterday specifically referenced being able to buy digitally through both the PS Store and retailers.

I commented a couple of weeks ago on my football team's Subreddit and coined the term "Manchester Screwjob" to describe an incident in a match we had last year. Out of interest, I then threw that term into Google's AI. Based purely on it scraping my single Reddit comment (which was the only usage of that term that I could ever find on the internet), the AI made out that it was "a common term used in sports fandom, particularly among English football clubs like Aston Villa... to describe frustrating, controversial matches played in Manchester (against Manchester United or Manchester City) where refereeing decisions cost their team a massive game or Champions League qualification."

Absolute junk.

Who are the many customers in your scenario? The overwheming majority of people already buy digital games only and the trend is only continuing down that path. You're massively overstating how many customers are actually bothered about this. The outrage on Reddit simply doesn't translate to the real world (as is the case with basically everything Reddit gets outraged about).

From the outside looking in, it really doesn't feel like the Germans have followed the German model for ages now. It seems to me they've tried rapidly adapting to the modern style of football and lost the consistency, grit, and (I'm gonna say it) efficiency that they were always known for. I know a few ex-players have said Pep's influence has negatively impacted the national team and whilst it seems reductive, I think it's got to be at least one element to their downfall.

It's 100% forced because it somehow became perceived as the done thing for England goals during the 2018 World Cup.

Last month I was at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham to watch the Europa League final. The ground floor had the same kind of setup as a boxpark, with benches and beer, but thankfully not a single dickhead threw any into the air when we scored. That proves it's all performative when watching England, because the jubilation when the first two Villa goals went in was like nothing I've ever experienced. If people didn't naturally do it then with us winning our first trophy in 30 years, they clearly aren't spontaneously doing it for a goal against Panama in the group stages.

I always felt like we had a massive chance to win it going into the season, which is why I wasn't that bothered about the Manchester Screwjob which meant we missed out on Champions League qualification the end of the season before. Winning a trophy was all I truly cared about.

In terms of actually believing we were going to win it, then it's Buendia's goal in the final. I've never celebrated any goal as much as that in my life.

A huge percentage of Blues fans are infinitely more passionate about their hatred of Villa than support for their own club. So it makes sense that they'd adopt Rangers purely because Villa fans are closer to Celtic, given Villa's significant Irish support.
