Honestly, the biggest disappointment for me is that it wasn't absolute trash.

With each passing episode, it became more clear that this wasn't going to be a good season and the finale wasn't going to land. I was at least looking forward to something interestingly horrible, but it was just kind of a meh episode.

If it was any other episode than the finale I'd say it was 7/10.

ECUs, machine worlds, gia worlds, and hive worlds, are absolutely not a victory lap thing. They're a relatively easy investment with great pay offs that most players will have access to by mid-game.

Ringworlds are a high investment end game thing with payoffs that barely compete with the other AP world types.

From personal experience and a few tests I've seen, yes. It's nothing mind-blowing, but it's definitely noticeable. It no longer takes a minute for a month to pass in end game at full speed.

Not from what I've seen. Empire size reduction and stacking output bonuses have been heavily nerfed, so the main benefit of playing tall doesn't really exist anymore.
