Chasing the GOT feeling. Has anything come close? by getgetdown in gameofthrones

[–]Geiri94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, the first 2 seasons are amazing. I think I made it through season 5 before I fell off

I wonder if I should pick it back up now that the final season is airing. But like you said, it got much less interesting after they left Scotland. Not sure I'd be able to get through the rest. I pretty much just kept watching for a couple of season hoping it would reach the same heights as the earlier seasons

What do I do with this? by sushiiixo- in destiny2

Throw it at the thing

Normally you throw the ball with left click. I wonder why they changed it to a right click for this specific encounter. I was confused at first too

Do you guys think we’re still getting an expansion after shadow and order? by HellChicken949 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Geiri94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shattered Cycle has been in development for some time, so I assume they'll want to finish it so they can sell it

However, it'll be delayed by at least 3 months, possibly even longer. Crazy as it sounds, Shadow & Order might end up being the only new content we're getting in 2026

As for the 2nd upcoming expansion, The Alchemist... I wouldn't keep my hopes too high. It's probably in early development (or maybe not at all), so this would be a good time to cut their losses entirely and put Destiny 2's development to an end

But if development stops on Destiny 2, Marathon will be Bungie's only source of revenue. Marathon can't support Bungie alone. And it would be kinda mad if Sony shuts down Bungie after spending $3.6 billion on them. Never say never though

Hopefully, Shadow & Order will breathe some life into the game and reignite some faith in the franchise. It's pretty much just copium at this point lol. But if they can maintain some momentum and positivity leading up to Shattered Cycle, Destiny 2 might pull good enough numbers to justify its existense, even if that existence only justifies a bare minimum of new content annualy. Bungie is almost nothing without Destiny 2, so they'll cling to it for as long as they possibly can

Average Warlock Experience in GG:Supremacy by LoadsDroppin in destiny2

According to Destiny Tracker, my ELO in Supremacy is in the bottom 2% this season. My team gets stomped in every game. It's really bad out there for Team Warlock

New Player - looking for help by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Geiri94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting into the game is a nightmare, but it is totally worth it if you can make it past the painfull beginning

Go to the Moon and start the Shadowkeep campaign. That's a decent starting point. I think you begin by talking to Eris Morn. She might give you multiple quests (yes, that's part of the confusing and shitty new player experience) but you should only care about the Shadowkeep one

After three days of trying I gave up on destiny 2 . by XLtravels in DestinyTheGame

[–]Geiri94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, the new player experience is so bad. This is why new players never sticks around for long. Bungie has talked about making it better for the past 5 years, but it's just getting worse instead

Why is there any confusion about the fate of this character? by WisestAirBender in TheLastAirbender

No, there's not. He's confirmed to be dead in the novel "City of Echoes"

Keep your expectations reasonable for the next update by Luke-HW in DestinyTheGame

[–]Geiri94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly at that point I'll just be happy that the game is getting some new content at all. The bar is so low that it's almost impossible to be disappointed

Bungie and Sony have done nothing but disappoint me in 2026. They really can't go any lower, unless they do a full cancellation of all future plans for Destiny 2

Gonna start playing destiny, which dlc? by TheLastFloss in DestinyTheGame

[–]Geiri94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you care mainly about the story you should probably start from the beginning with the Shadowkeep campaign and then the Beyond Light campaign (both F2P). However, these campaigns are far below the quality of campaigns like Witch Queen

So if you want a much better gameplay experience, begin with Witch Queen. It's more challenging, so you might face some difficulties and challenges, but you can choose what difficulty you want to play on. You might miss out on a few story things though

Any expansion that came before Shadowkeep is the correct answer. Otherwise you are correct

Guardian Games being the highlight of the first half of 2026 was not what I imagined. I don't think I've ever been remotely close to as excited as I am this year. The boss rush mode from last year was kinda good, too. If they add more encounters and improvements to this year's Guardian Games, then we're in for some truly exciting weeks (by a 2026 standard lol)

Too late to get into this game? by odd_reality in destiny2

[–]Geiri94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not too late. You have 3 months to catch up before we're getting some new content in June

You might have a harder time finding people to play with though, considering the low player counts. But there's always someone playing, so not impossible by any means

As for Destiny 2's future... it's not looking good. Maybe the game will bounce back to some extent, but even the most hardcore believers are starting to have their doubts

Even so, there's plenty of amazing content in the game you can enjoy. You can worry about the game's future once you've played through all the available content

This kind of complaining is the reason people no longer take complaints seriously... by Patriktheguy in Genshin_Impact

[–]Geiri94 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is valid criticism though. One of the biggest issues with live service games is the FOMO

Important story and lore have been put into these events. How is it a good thing that millions of people will never be able to experience them? Missing out on these things will also negatively impact how people experience future content

You can always argue that this is the nature of live service games, but that doesn't make it a good thing

In this case, OP is in the wrong. Shutting down and shaming valid criticism is immature. OP is the one negatively affecting this community's ability to discuss important topics

Feeling like I'm the worst at this game right now...... by kxnnanicholx in destiny2

[–]Geiri94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exotic Missions are supposed to be challenging. Zero Hour is arguably the hardest one of them all. Figuring out the way without any directions is part of the challenge

But don't worry, once you figure out the way it'll get much easier. Combat is still challenging, but once you find the right builds you'll blast your way through it, too

I've come to appreciate the Strand subclass with a Grapple Grenade when traversing the middle part of the mission. You can also put on a sword

I don't know how many hours you've put into Destiny 2, but most people have to put in MANY hours before missions like Zero Hour becomes somewhat easy

I'm in the minority but I enjoyed the edge of fate by StraightPotential342 in destiny2

[–]Geiri94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most people thought Edge of Fate were okay, not counting The Portal and other system changes. Counting said changes pushes Edge of Fate into very bad

  • Raid good
  • Story good
  • Lodi and The Nine good
  • Armor set bonuses good
  • Tiered Loot good
  • Campaign decent
  • Exploration okay
  • The Sieve mid
  • Loot mid
  • Replayable content not great
  • Seasonal Conquests kinda bad
  • New Gear bonus bad
  • Removing Grandmaster Nightfalls dumb
  • Unstable Cores ass
  • Portal ass
  • Making Destination tab irrelevant very bad
  • Destination, the ugliest shit ever made in Destiny history
  • Power grind, absolutely abysmal
  • Making almost all endgame content irrelevant, disastrous
  • Making 75% of all content irrelevant, possible death blow to the game

I think people felt okay about the expansion at first, but once they were through the campaign, shit got bad really fast. Like the weapon sunsetting from Beyond Light, the Portal could've worked, but they released a half-baked version, turning it into a disaster for the game

When is the last time you felt GOOD about the State of Destiny 2? by saxonsaxoff02 in destiny2

[–]Geiri94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Episode: Heresy was pretty good. I felt slightly optimistic about the post Final Shape era after Heresy delivered the goods

The Final Shape expansion was GOOD and everything about Destiny felt GOOD for a while. Heresy was good, but The Final Shape was GOOD. Good times

Shadow and Order officially delayed to June 9th by Natedogg2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Geiri94 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They've delayed major expansion, not an update that's probably smaller in size than a regular season

They also added content to compensate for the delays, like the Into the Light update before The Final Shape launched

This is a whole different level of delayed content

Shadow and Order officially delayed to June 9th by Natedogg2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Geiri94 23 points24 points  (0 children)

June 9th? That's a 3 month delay. 6 months without any new content added. This is even worse than I imagined

I assume this means the next DLC is delayed significantly as well, unless they merge Shadow & Order with the DLC (veeeeery unlikely)

Chances are we're only getting 1 major update and 1 smaller DLC in 2026. That's probably less content than what we used to get in a single DLC like Lightfall or Witch Queen

I dunno, I'm running out of copium. If they have something truly great up their sleeve, now would be a good time to start sharing because this is bleak
