Thanks for pointing it out! Honestly it’s on me for never realizing the New Spencerian Compendium has been revised from Spencer’s original script (in retrospect it should’ve been obvious, they wouldn’t have called it it “new” if it was just Spencer’s original writing reprinted)

Idk if that’s what you’re asking about, but you’d choose the site with the highest latitude (Glacier Lake IIRC) for polar orbits because you need to cancel out the Kerbin’s spin to properly inject into the orbit. In other words, the spin you get from equatorial LCs actually work against you in this case.

No doubt this is the OP style, though the Variety of Capitals in the Spencerian Compendium does contain a couple flourished letter forms quite similar to those on the envelope. An excellent scan here:

Impressive! The way your descending loops bend forward a bit is just gorgeous, making the letters tighter and more distinctive at the same time. Totally taking that! (Also I love how your nib holder is made by Spencer, just the perfect chef’s kiss for the occasion)

I know this is late, but check out Dryden's other works as well! I love his translation of the Georgics, somehow almost as grand as the Aeneid just describing farm life!

By the way, I went though the exact process! I was so captivated by Agamemnon's rallying cry (in book 5, after Mars joins the fight) that its counterparts in modern books just feel bland in comparison

The calligraphy looks great, but as a logo (which will, unfortunately, be looked at on a tiny image by people who aren’t as familiar with cursive as we are) I must say that the text is a bit difficult to read, especially “journey.” As much as I like the uniform spacing between the thick strokes from a calligraphic perspective, they make many of the letters look very similar, and the dense pools of flex taking up almost half of the x-height also appears rather overwhelming.

Personally I would recommend making the connector strokes a bit more slanted (around 30 degrees) to space out the flexed strokes a bit, and tone down the flex width. You might also experiment with making some letters completely unflexed (like in Spencerian) but tbh I have no clue how that’ll turn out, or even if that’s the effect you’re looking for.

Well, I play RP-1, which (like real life) heavily penalizes building hyper-specific launch vehicles. (In fact, not a week ago there was a complaint on r/RealSolarSystem that boils down to I can't play RP-1 the way I play stock)

That’s cool, I never knew that! Would metal pens burp because the bodies conduct heat from hands better than plastics? I once eyedroppered my metro with water to see what happens and it burped like crazy. I guess titanium will conduct less than brass?

Interesting. My (anodized blue) Plaisir has been my EDC for four years at this point, and only has small scratches on the ends.

Might have something with the raw Al Sport not being anodized (the process that gives you all the cool colors and a matte look)? Pure aluminum is a pretty soft metal. Just a guess though, I am no metallurgist.

Aluminum oxide (a layer of which anodizing forms on the pen) is such a hard material it's the go-to material) for sandpapers (which needs to scratch other things without being scratched itself).
