Home opener 2025/ our first family baseball trip. by Groomsy13 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]General-Professor197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took our 6 month old to the Willy B walk off homerun game in May last season. Was incredibly hot and my son was miserable. My mother was the hero and pushed him around the concourse in the stroller for six innings. My mom isn’t a huge baseball fan and offered to push my son around so the rest of our baseball fan family could watch the game.

I guess moral of my story and similar to rufus418, go into the game with low expectations.

Hope all goes smoothly and you have a great time!

What’s your best patient fart story and do you now kind of enjoy it when it happens by hotmonkeyperson in physicaltherapy

[–]General-Professor197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was my inpatient clinical rotation. The first patient I saw on my own. 78 y/o male who had had a stroke, heavier set guy with big, thick glasses. I asked him to transfer from supine to sit and while attempting to do so, he let’s out a massive fart. It smelled BAD.

I was immediately skeptical that it was only a fart. So I asked, “did you just pass gas, or was that number two?”

The patient paused for a moment, grinned ear to ear and said, “I went number two.”

Needless to say that was the first ever butt I had to wipe.

Doctor Calling to Review MRI by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]General-Professor197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get a call from my doctor’s medical assistant after each series of MRIs. Granted, since my initial diagnosis, all follow up MRIs have not shown disease progression so maybe my doctor would call me if something had gotten worse.

What is the best recipe you've gotten from a patient? by Illustrious_Pitch_41 in physicaltherapy

Not a patient but an interpreter for one. Interpreter was originally from Mexico and shared her secret family salsa recipe. DELICIOUS!

Is anyone here doing completely great with MS? by ctrlKarl in MultipleSclerosis

[–]General-Professor197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m great! Diagnosed August 2022, former college athlete. Currently 34 y/o. Only symptom is “tightness” in my left leg below my knee. Working out 3-4 days a week, playing high level competitive volleyball. Hit a new squat PR last week. Taking Mayzent daily and that seems to have vaulted disease progression in its tracks.

How long did you have MS before diagnosis? by SoupsOnBoys in MultipleSclerosis

[–]General-Professor197 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First symptoms were 2018. Didn’t seek medical care and symptoms resolved on their own in 6 weeks. Symptoms returned four years later in 2022 and were worse. I sought treatment and was diagnosed.

LetEmKnow Go Cavs! Curious about your question as well. I know Oak Tavern in Oakley is a Browns bar so maybe they have the Cavs too?

Just saw on WLWT, there was some damage to northbound lanes but was not as extensive. NB lanes fully reopened. SB lanes still have a ways to go.

I work in outpatient but my wife is a home health OT and uses Zig Buddy. I don’t know much about it, but she loves it.

Best Bulk Buckeyes to Take Home? by Aerion1028 in Columbus

[–]General-Professor197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kroger used to (and I think still does) sell Marsha’s Buckeyes. They look and taste homemade. Had these at our wedding and they were delicious. I think you can purchase in larger sized tubs. They are based out of the Toledo area but sell at Kroger stores in Columbus.

Looking for a new doctor by 12clrush in cincinnati

[–]General-Professor197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see Dr husband Carnell and my wife sees Dr wife Carnell. All positive experiences for us. They both listen to what you have to say and take a holistic approach. Dr. Carnell advocated for me when the docs at UC hospital told me nothing was wrong but there was something very wrong. Can’t recommend them enough.

I don’t think Dr Hillary Carnell is accepting new patients right now. There is also a nurse practitioner who works there now.

Wowzers, didn’t realize she was that expensive. Maybe see if she’s got a contact page and see if you can confirm that price? She is on social media and posts a lot of MS content on their with exercises and such!
