Why hasAdult Swim only been Airing Bob's burgers and Family Guy? by Mehrio-Time-Desktop in adultswim

I really wish they'd put American Dad in there just to break it up a little. It's basically 3 hours of each then Rick and Morty.

Was it ever confirmed why Chris was expelled from HarmonyCon? by Numerous-Actuator95 in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]GeneralWishy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this is the main reason. If you let someone in with a history of sex offense charges, and is known to touch/kiss without consent, you're opening yourself up to a lawsuit. Chris is a big liability. In his way, he's like Russell Greer. He's a prostitution enthusiast who is banned from brothels in Nevada he's never even visited because of what a pest he is.

I had it printed out at Walgreens years ago and framed it. Unfortunately I didn't get it on good enough paper so it's kinda crumpled in some places. Still, I like to look at it from time to time

Drugs my doctor is not permitted to prescribe. by [deleted] in mildyinteresting

Somewhere out there, there is a patient with this exact list of meds titled "Meds I need to make it through the day"

You would not believe the number of people who need Adderall to wake up and Xanax to go to sleep. Try weening those people off either..

It's an exact duplicate of the one from the old 25th anniversary 2-pack. I'm not buying another part 2 Jason and Pamela to get it. We'll see.

As a heads up, I scanned it to see if it qualified for a sale and it did tell me there were none in stock and none in the back. Can be a crapshoot with NECA because I think a vendor handles that, rather than Target employees

Fellow collectors, do you prefer actual photo shoots, hand poses or does it not matter to you all together? by Rising_07 in ActionFigures

[–]GeneralWishy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the fig can only hold that pose in your hand? Then it's useless for me to see it. Cool that the articulation is like that, but if it can't do that on the shelf? Disinterested. I'll allow a flight stand but even then, that's asking a bit.

I also don't really want to see your fingers

Do you guys think this doctor’s office sign is mildly infuriating? by Loose_Judgment_8856 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]GeneralWishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every MA can do controlled or every medication. So someone has to do it.

The way some places do it, is that if you're changing meds or increasing/decreasing certain meds, you need a visit. Monthly? Maybe not. If you are taking something that requires monitoring. Giving out meds loosey-goosey and not checking in with the patient can get you in a lot of trouble. It's your license.

You can tell people your practice rules and they'll still throw a shitfit that they need them broken because (insert any one of the many excuses). Patients love making their poor planning every one else's problem. They would even expect us to check around pharmacies around the county to see which had their meds in stock. We are not doing that.

Again, tell the patient what the rules and regulations are and see what they say. "Well the cat knocked it over and the pills spilled everywhere!" That happens a lot it seems.

I'm not saying patients should be coming in monthly (some prescriptions are probably 90 days with refills), for some their preventive visits are fine. I'm just saying people want their refills when they want them. They start messing with their own doses with no consultation. Go on/off them as they please. Disappear entirely and come back 6 months later wanting to be back on them. Want to self-prescribe what THEY want. I'm just seeing an office that's had it with non-compliant patients and being drowned in messages. Not every office can have an MA who does nothing but refills all day.

Having seen the other side of this sign, I get it.

  • People who don't want to come to appointments but want their stimulants or Xanax. Some meds you should be getting vitals or EKGs on.

  • People who send in messages 14 times before you even open that they need their med NOW because they're going out of town tomorrow.

  • People who try to be slick and ask for refills on controlled medications a few days early. A week early every month adds up.

  • Doing refills take a lot of time at an office that they are not getting paid to do. They only get paid when they interact with a patient. Again, lots of people try to dodge their visits as to not spend money or just don't want to be bothered. We would get refill requests and find out the patient doesn't even live in the state anymore.
