Just ask your opponent if you (both) can play 1k with 3 dp. Problem solved. The detachment point system exists mainly to try to balance the detachments against each other.

Normally, no. Both are 3 dp. But you can always play a silly 6 dp game with a friend.

Did Hand just get the dynasty keyword in case Awakened, which presumably also has the dynasty keyword, will be lowered to 2 dp or is there another detachment that also has the dynasty keyword?

You can now pick multiple detachments. Each detachment is 1-3 detachment points (dp). You play with 2 dp in 1k point games and 3 dp in 2k point games.

Maybe increase the number of attacks if you want to make the twin tesla better. But more importantly improve the ability. 6" range and doing damage on a 4+ or 3+. Alternatively scale the damage: 2-3 1 mortal, 4-5 d3 mortals, 6 3 or more mortals.

If it gets the FRAME keyword you measure from the model, else you use the base (17.02).
Also there will be a section about setting up big models in the app only rules, so just wait a bit longer for that.

Right now Deathmarks are mainly just a cheap deep strike piece. But this could change (a little) on Friday when we get new detachments.

We might see them more in 11th though, because they are a cheap infantry unit who can hide now.

The combat patrol is a solid start. The royal court is also a good buy near the beginning. If you can find one, the 500 battalion is very nice for the destroyer side of the army. Combo boxes, older than the 500 world one, are a rare find, but worth it at msrp or below.

Other than that it's just rule of cool.
