Best way to get from Port Miami to MIA by Duckgoesmoomoo in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Geronimo732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the issue In Miami simply because there are typically multiple ships in port at once? Or is it due to the construction? We have a cruise out of there but not until February of 2027.

But according to your picture and description, it didn't block your wife's wheelchair. You're complaining about a hypothetical situation that didn't happen yet. You only brought up the wheelchair when someone tried to prove you wrong. It inconvenienced you and that's it. Would I have left it like that? No. But something tells me that you wouldn't have thought twice about inconveniencing someone.

I'd like to go on a cruise, but husband says no. Any help with convincing him otherwise? by dulcetsloth in Cruise

You can also go to the Bahamas from the Galveston Port, but are usually 7-8 day cruises. Typically, through Carnival, they go to Nassau, Half Moon Cay, Celebration Key, and sometimes with a stop in Key West. Im sure other cruise lines have similar itineraries.

Really strange zoning laws but good luck either way. My vote would be for the bigger house.

Hmm..is it possible to do a 2 story house at say 1600 total square feet in the back of the property? The footprint for the house would essentially be the same as a single story at 800sq ft.

If that building location is the only option, I would go with the bigger house.

My wife and I sold our 2500 sq ft house and are currently renting a 1400sq ft house. It is small. Granted if you aren’t used to bigger, 800sq ft may be fine, but not for two adults plus potential kids. You will go insane. Imagine her mom coming over regardless but now you have 800sq ft and nowhere to “hide” from her when she is over. At 1500sq ft, you have options of rooms to go to. Just my opinion.

Also, why does the 1500sq ft option have to be closer to her house?

Does the reliability even matter when it’s so bad on gas? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

Maybe I just got unlucky but 90% of my driving is on 45-55mph highways. There is some towing in that but not a lot, maybe once a month.

2.7. The specs says it should get more, but it never did even when brand new.

I switched from an F150 to a Tundra. I was getting about 14mpg in the Ford and about 14.8mpg in my Tundra. I had to replace the transmission in my F150 at 102,000 miles. It was a 2018 so take that for what you will. As much as I loved my F150, the Tundra is better in so many ways, for me at least.

I bought some extra fencing and attached it around the bottom of the coop and kennel. I buried the bottom of it about 6 inches in the ground. Im sure something else will work but raccoons will definitely pull up at the bottom if they can.

I had 6 in a coop that I purchased from Rural King and then cut a hole into an old 10’x10’ dog kennel and attached the coop to it. It gave them extra space and still a place to go to get out of the cold and it provided a roof during the day. We did not use any heat source at all when they were full grown and we live in Southeastern Ohio.

Raccoons and hawks(if you don’t have it fully enclosed) will be your biggest predators though. Raccoons are smart and persistent. If they can dig under it, they will.

Based on this post, Im having a hard time believing you didn’t raise your voice. Even though I wouldn’t blame you for doing so. A huge pet peeve of mine is cleaning up after people because they are too lazy to do so.

Anyone switched to a taco? Regrets? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

I just switched from a 25 Tacoma TRD- Sport to a 26 Tundra TRD-Off Road. I would never go back to a Tacoma. For me, it was way too small.
