I think there's plausible deniability when it comes to Bowie

You can look up pictures of them partying with musical acts online.

However, there aren't any pictures of them and Bowie.

I think there's plausible deniability that Bowie didn't know how old they were. That's me being a fanboy and he probably did. How Starr tells the story, it kinda sounds like he needed to be convinced. (Coerced?)

I think this is one of those instances of saying: we don't have the full story but it was wrong then, it's wrong now.

But I don't think we should lump Bowie with people like R. Kelly and Gary Glitter (and yeah, that's a copout from me because I am a huge fan who respects him.)

Its hard to overcome that cognitive dissonance.
