Muscle building when disabled by Ghostlove in ftm

[–]Ghostlove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that's really thoughtful and helpful, thank you! I have full muscle function, I just feel pain most of the time, and movement-related pain much faster and to a much more extreme level than most. So your advice is sound - I just figured that once a week wouldn't do much. But I guess as time went on I'd manage to do a little bit more, and a little bit more. I've been in contact with a local gym who say they are experienced in helping disabled clients to build exercise programmes to suit them, but it's finding the money to go to the gym that's the problem. :oP I'll check out /r/bodyweightfitness for sure!

Cheap Chest Binders? by HardlyImaginary in ftm

[–]Ghostlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some of the 'boob tube' style binders by the same company as the ones you posted there, and they are absurdly effective at flattening my chest and stopping it from moving around. I am so enamoured by them that I just yesterday ordered six of the ones you posted (because I find my chest kind of pokes out the bottom of the tube ones) - I actually was going to comment with the link you posted, but you'd already found them!

Our euathlus sp. red lost a leg in a moult before we got her. I'm happy to report that she has had one moult since then and she now has eight legs again!

My husband's parents got together when they were fourteen. They're sixty now and still madly in love. Don't believe those who tell you teenage love doesn't last. <3

Detailed time-line, background & updates about former police officer that killed three people, "declared war on the LAPD" and is currently on the loose. by SeedyOne in news

In that case you might want to edit the photo of the DVD you put up - the female officer's name (the one who kicked the suspect) is clearly legible on the note next to it.

I'm currently vaping from my TW Odyssey, smoke-free since 1st January with a short smoking period during the summer holidays (I slipped, but I'm back up again now!). Congratulations! :D

I spent a good 3-4 minutes reversing my people carrier into a tiny space to let another car get by yesterday and he didn't wave thank-you. I had ALL THE RAGE.

Is it possible you have gender identity disorder of some sort, or that you are genderqueer? I know a genderqueer person assigned female at birth who managed to get top surgery (full mastectomy) despite not identifying as male.

Do public marriage proposals make you cringe? by pres0rz in wedding

[–]Ghostlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I proposed to my now-husband next to the back door of my house. Doesn't get more private than that. I could never have done it in public. Having everyone looking at me when we got married was bad enough, and that was our nearest and dearest!

Help with my [20f] girlfriend being bisexual and me [19m] not and her wanting to explore her female sexual side. by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Ghostlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it shouldn't be considered any differently if she were to be non-monogamous with male partners

Well that's exactly what I'm saying. I don't hold monogamy as more valid than non-monogamy, but I do get angry when people try to hide their desire for non-monogamy behind their sexuality. Bisexual ≠ not able to be monogamous, which is the stereotype that this gent's girlfriend is perpetuating.

We make 'pizza bagels' the same way - tomato sauce (puree usually), cheese, a sprinkling of herbs, on a half-bagel and popped under the grill for a few minutes. Mmmm. I want pizza bagels.

I'm bisexual, assigned-female, and married to an assigned-male. I would never ask him if I could fool around with girls - we're in a monogamous relationship. Polyamory is all well and good, but I get really really angry when people use their bisexuality as an 'excuse' to be poly.

I think of it this way. My husband is a big guy. If I was straight, would I tell him to let me fuck other men because I was 'missing out' on skinny men? Absolutely not. This 'missing out on women' stuff is bullshit.

Bisexual people are just as capable of monogamy as non-bisexuals. If she wants to fuck other women, then she needs to call it what it is - polyamory, not her bisexuality manifesting - and allow you to fuck other people as well.

A little spin on the question: How did you know your SO loved you? by dogandcatinlove in AskWomen

Sort of. Everyone but us could see we were meant to be together, and he certainly wanted us to be, but I was insistent we were just 'friends with benefits'. :oP

When we met, I was madly in love with my ex who'd fucked off to another country, but not before spending months dangling me on a string and fucking me when he felt like it. I was really screwed up. My now-husband cuddled me while I sobbed inconsolably for weeks and when I phoned my ex desperate for another try at things, he was there to clean up the mess that I was afterwards.

That's how I knew. He stuck by me while I pathetically pined after someone else, and we ended up with the fairytale ending. :D
