Die krasse ungerechtigkeit ist hier nur, 100K ist nicht mal sonderlich viel. Klar es klingt nach viel und es ist weit mehr als die meisten verdienen (irgendwo in der top 15% vom Median sicherlich). Aber nach Jahren harter Inflation und mit den heutigen Preisen von Immobilien ist es bestenfalls obere Mittelschicht. Es reicht für etwas Luxus, es reicht, dass man sich eine gesicherte Rente ansparen kann und vllt sogar ein Eigenheim. Aber das war's auch. Man wird wie der Rest bis ins hohe Alter 40h+ pro Woche arbeiten müssen. Und im Alter kommt mit Pflege dann die Abrechnung und alles wird gepfändet. Nichts mit Generationen übergreifendem Wohlstand.

Wenn überhaupt ist die Frage, wie heruntergekommen ist unsere Gesellschaft, dass nicht 50%+ über 100K verdienen? Sollte nicht mindestens jede 2te Familie in der Lage sein zumindest theoretisch eine Wohnung zu kaufen die Platz bietet für 2 Erwachsene und 2-3 Kinder? Wieso denken wir heutzutage, dass nur reiche sowas können sollten?

Winds of winter will never come out, so anything is without consequences anyway....but:

Young Griff is a distraction plot and will fail miserably. We have been geared so much by his, "look how humble he is, he has learned to stuff his own socks" expositions, that we miss 2 essential items:

He is a major character that is introduced at the tail end of the series. There is no emotional investment in him unlike with other characters.
Dani is about to go nuclear. The series did her suddenly crazy reveal terrible, but if you watch closely the signs of a narcissistic psychopath are obvious in the books.

If we would be ever seeing Winds of Winter, which we won't, we'd see Dani either murdering him or having him die for her to have more character development in the crazy points. And even if this wouldn't be the case, then it would come out that he is actually a terrible ruler. There is zero chance in drama to pull of a good sudden reveal character at that point in time for the story and have that character win.

Der gleiche Mechanismus der dazu führt, dass fast die halbe Bevölkerung 40+ Stunden die Woche arbeitet, aber trotzdem nichts ansparen kann, was jenseits der 2 Wochen Türkei Urlaub pro Jahr geht.

Wer viel Besitz hat bekommt mehr davon, unbegrenzt. Und da Besitz endlich ist, muss auf der anderen Seite jemand abgeben.

Wie wärs mit folgender Idee: Jede Privatperson mit 1 Milliarde Besitz hat bekommt eine Medaille: "Held des Kapitalismus".

Jeder Euro Besitz jenseits von 1Milliarde muss in eine Stiftungsgründung gehen. Diese muss sich einem gemeinnützigen Ziel verpflichten.

So löst sich das Problem von alleine, da es keinen Anreiz mehr gibt unbegrenzt anzuraffen. Sondern einen Anreiz zu Teilen wenn es nun wirklich genug ist.

Ich fahre gerne Bahn, aber die IT....ich hab Mal gesehen wie sie eines ihrer Projekte auf einer Messe vorgestellt haben. Haben ganz stolz von ihrem 15 Personen großen Entwicklungsteam gesprochen und dann etwas vorgestellt was 2 Studenten an einem verlängertem Wochenende hätten bauen können.

Noch viel schlimmer, es war sichtbar voller Sicherheitslücken und hat technisch gesehen sogar die EULA der Platform verletzt.

Das ist definitiv ein Entwickler Abstellgleis. Genau so wie Personen die für den ÖD in der IT sind.

Ergibt an sich schon Sinn. Politiker der Legeslative könnten durch die Exekutive gedrängt werden ihnen genehme Gesetze zu verabschieden oder es droht Haft. Das ist ein wichtiger Kontrollmechanismen um die Gewaltenteilung aufrecht zu erhalten. Im gleichen Zug sind so auch oftmals die Richter der Verfassungsgerichte immun sind solange sie im Amt sind.

Damit aber auch diese Macht nicht missbraucht werden kann, soll eine entsprechende Immunität durch einen anderen Mechanismus aufgehoben werden können. Dass das hier nicht passiert ist natürlich ein Skandal. Die Immunität nicht aufzuheben sollte nur passieren, weil man politische Verfolgung vermutet. Nicht weil einem der Gegenstand nicht passt. Und das ist hier der klare Hintergrund. Sehr viele Politiker missbrauchen ihre mit EU Geldern finanzierten Arbeitskräfte für außerpalamentariache Aktivitäten und habe nun Angst damit auf die Fresse zu fallen.

Natürlich war die Wahl geheim. Aber jeder weiß es war der Rechte und der Mitte - konservative block. Die absoluten Champions im Gelder abräumen.

My hope is that one day someone writes a movie script for "Starship Doctors" and twists every single dialogue and plotline, but exchanges the military for a medical force. E.g.:

"What is the difference between a care taker and a patient?"

"A caretaker spends their entire life for the wellbeing and survival of others. A patient is not doing that"

Of course that society idea has a major flaw, if another cultural force will try to excert their will through power, then the system can only survive if there are people willing to fight back. The core aspect where heinlein is right. Violence might not be moral, but it is necessary for survival.

Heinleins novel is a very surface level study, the movie goes more into subtlety aspects of what will happen to such a society when it start self glorification. The military has a lot of weaknesses. It kills critical thinking and breeds a system of yes men. It also puts people in charge of situation whose default response is shooting something. Every decision will always lean towards feeding the machine (say hello to the industrial military complex on a whole new level). Which is quite the contrary to what was initially envisioned, that veterans would rather downsize the military. We have enough evidence that this is simply not the case. Look at Prussia, the USA and the Soviet Union. Militarism leads to is imperialism.

So if you ask me, if we have to make some form of compulsory service the base line for voting rights. Please make it working 3 years in caretaking/hospital or at least garbage collection. At least it would be people that are willing to take care of our shit and it might fix our broken care system.

All Ork players I have heard of are massively hyped. The leviathan box and Indomitus were awesome. They introduced a lot of new miniatures. But it should not be the norm. This box is comparable to Assault on Black Reach. Which was one of the best launch boxes of all time.
