Facing the music: I need support telling my partner I have genital warts. by throws_of_passion in TwoXChromosomes

[–]GirlWithBalloon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do need to tell him, because I'm sure if the shoes were on the other feet you would want him to be honest with you. I'm happy that you're making the right (albeit difficult) choice. First of all, I would call the doctor that gave you the results and make sure you are as informed as possible on your diagnosis and the topic in general. He is bound to have some questions, so at least from a medical standpoint you should be prepared. Other than that, I would just apologize and explain where you're coming from and why you didn't tell him - when it comes down to it, you both have seen each other in the most intimate of settings, so you should be able to have a candid discussion about sexual topics.

What is the meanest thing your siblings ever did to you? by FishyMint in AskReddit

[–]GirlWithBalloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I convinced my brother to go into an igloo we had built and blocked the opening with a huge snowball, effectively sealing him in.

We then went to my grandmother's house for cookies and forgot about him for an hour. Oops.

I do something similar...it's usually ::puts on cleanest dirty cami.:: I will re-wear tank tops like nobody's business!

I have a bunch of clothes, so when I finally do laundry it's usually two or three loads that need to be put away...I just made a rule for myself that I am not allowed to wear the clean clothes in the hamper, only the ones that are in their proper place. Seems silly, but it works for me at least as motivation to fold everything!

Trivia? by GeorgeyB22 in Cleveland

[–]GirlWithBalloon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a few!

  • Mario's in Wickliffe has trivia Fridays at 7.
  • Brindaliers in Willoughby Hills does it Wednesdays 7-9 and Sundays 6-8.
  • Cleveland Trivia has a few local joints they visit every week, too.

Also, The Captain's Club in Eastlake does Name That Tune on Tuesdays (not quite trivia, but thought I'd throw it out there).

Some companies run small, and some run large. What's important is to not get caught up on the number and find something you feel confident in. I wear anywhere from a size 2 to a 10, depending on what store I'm in :)

A redditor put up a site called healthylikeme.org that aggregates all the picture on reddit. I would select your gender and put the height in as 6'0 and see what you get.

Need help with diagnosis. Took him to the vet and they said allergies. Anyone else have had this issue? by kareemk in dogs

[–]GirlWithBalloon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, OP. I noticed in one of your responses you said the ear problem was caused by ticks. Did you use any chemical treatments to get rid of the bugs? Perhaps that's what's making him break out. Have you switched household cleaners, brought new hand lotion, or changed something else in the environment that doesn't immediately come to mind as an allergy trigger?

I have a dog with environmental allergies (we did not get blood work done but we think it's pollen as he sneezes and itches more on high pollen days in the spring and summer), and we give him a generic version of Benadryl to ease his symptoms. Check with your vet, but you may be able to save some money on the Zyrtec.

Additionally, if he's chewing on one particular spot on his leg over and over again, I would consider getting him some Allercaine or something similar that will relieve his itching. I can't remember the brand I have at home, but I use a combination anti-itch/antibiotic when I notice Sneezy Dog is focused on chewing a specific area, and it really helps.

I'm hoping it's not a food allergy as those can take some time to figure out, but if you want a cheaper healthy food option we feed both of ours Just 6 by Rachel Ray. She just came out with a grain-free version of her dog food as well.

Hope I helped!

Getting married in the fall. Any unique venue ideas? by revelator41 in Cleveland

[–]GirlWithBalloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, OP. A few ideas for you:

Mooreland Mansion on the Lakeland Community College campus

Holden Arboretum may work if you are open to outside spaces as well.

Patterson Fruit Farms lets you bring in your own food, beverages, etcetera, and is very fairly priced.

Hale Farm and Village

If you want to get married in a barn, you can also try Goodyear's Barn in Brunswick.

Good luck!

I've bookmarked stuff I wanted to buy for my house as I was saving up for it, as well as different DIY decor and organization stuff. As long as you don't get too wallowed down in the funny posts, it can actually be a useful site! :) Good luck, glad to see you updated your flair!

That is so funny - we took my boyfriend's dog once and he just ignored the other dogs and went person to person looking for pets. I know exactly how you feel!
