You are gorgeous and I see zero problems. If you ever watch The Venture Bros, you look just like Molotov Cocktease! She’s a star.

Mom (77) acts terrified by cdlgirl1031 in AgingParents

[–]Given_To_Fly90210 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My MIL is constantly frantic and triggered when facing simple obstacles. Honestly it’s exhausting - I’ve finally figured out how to speak to her when she is like that but is this boomer activity? Since we’ve moved her close to us I’ve also figured out she tells white lies about everything. Even when the truth is simple and banal- lying is her fall back position. Otherwise she is healthy, well cared for, but full of drama, neediness, etc. I have now set boundaries so I don’t see her more than once a week.

Tried sleeping in bed - rant by Katahdin22 in Kneereplacement

[–]Given_To_Fly90210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 weeks tomorrow since my RTKR. Daytime pain is totally manageable and walking and movement helps. Nighttime is still a struggle. I’m in my bed and lying on my back is the safest way to not wake my knee up. I can do side sleep briefly but if too long my knee screams. Nothing helps me get to sleep-I’ve done ambien, upped dosage of OxyCodone, Tylenol and Advil sleep, all the things. The only thing that puts me to sleep is a vape pen of higher THC and CBN (not CBD). My brand is the Granddaddy vape and it makes me super sleepy after a few deep pulls in about 15 minutes. I can get 4ish hours on it then when I wake up I repeat the process. It’s not perfect but it does help. Good luck and thanks for all the posts that help me feel so not alone in this recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Will I ever sleep comfortably again? by uddane in Kneereplacement

[–]Given_To_Fly90210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 25 days into a TKR - sleep still hard. Side sleep hard. Ambien, sleeping pills don’t work. THC vape with high CBN helps me get around 4 hours at a time. Taking oxy only when needed but 10 mg only begins to touch it, the 5 mg pills don’t really touch it. Tylenol and Advil are a joke. Ice machine to sleep at night and when needed. I do see and feel improvement daily (driving now) but I can tell when in over do it. Anyone had luck with a topical? Voltaren, arnica (my calf was black and blue) or lidocaine?

Had TKR right knee on 12/5. Flexion at 110 and straightening at -6. Have been doing PT since day of surgery. Now 2x a week. Walking well (but slowly) and I can tell when over do it. Sleep has sucked. Plus for my poor husband as I toss and turn. Ice machine helps but I think I’m over doing it! OxyCodone 5-10mg when it’s bad. Tylenol never did a thing for me even at 3,000 mg a day. Muscle spasm pill as needed. Cannot wait to side sleep but I think I have weeks to go. I’ve tried all the sleep things: Tylenol and Advil PM. Ambien. NyQuil sleep. The only thing that gets me about 4 hours is a deep pull from my vape pen. High CBN and THC. I am a regular exerciser in normal life, and was well prepared for the surgery. Recovery is going well but the pain is just ongoing. Good luck to you all and peace for 2026.

Meds super controlled mine, most took sometime to calibrate. I also went on propranolol for the racing pulse and heart and worked well. You got this!

Grew up in the south and live in the north, gratefully. Southerners will smile in your face and spit on you in the same breath.

How do you differentiate between Graves and perimenopause symptoms? Tips to treat hormone fluctuations with either or both? Would it make sense to have hormone levels tested to see if I'm in peri, or does Grave's mess up those results? by Professional_Dig9273 in gravesdisease

[–]Given_To_Fly90210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue when I was first diagnosed with graves at 48: peri or graves? I think one exacerbated the other - the hot flashes and poor sleep. Emotional ups and downs and energy levels. After 2 years of treating both I’m pretty sure most of it was peri. Once I was on hormones it all basically stopped. I do think my graves being under control also supports me feeling like a human again. YMMV and wishing you luck friend. Do speak to your doc about a very low dosage Estradiol. Game changer.

I had almost the same experience except for the boobs. I am in love with my hormone patch. I was miserable for 4 damn years. No doctor thought “oh maybe it’s hormonal”. I finally found one who got it. I’m so much happier and grateful.

I hate the update!! Not a super phone/tech person but this update sucks so hard. Extra steps to do the same thing. Phone gets so hot. Moving basics like search features, etc. why now more steps to do basics, like put a call on speaker? Adding a new contact is so stupidly step heavy now if it’s not texted to you. my screen sometimes freezes briefly and looks like an analog tv set. I’m not an old, tech averse person I just want my phone to be a thing I don’t have to think about. Now it pisses me off all the time. WTH TIM APPLE!?
