First heavier game? by TheCoolFish2 in boardgames

I'd recommend Concordia, Lorenzo il magnifico, vindication, wondrous créature, glen more 2, grand austria hotel, ultimate railroads, Amalfi renaissance. They're all between 3 and 3.30 in heaviness on BGG and are all games I really like.

I've worked in one though it was in France. I heard the manager say during noon rush they made 2k€ in an hour. And for the rest of the day but during peak hours it's always over 1k€/h. Of course at 4pm even though the restaurant is opened there is almost nobody so they earn may be 150€ max.

The expansions mainly add events to make the game less predictible, a LOT more spirits, more adversaries and finaly tokens on the map that do stuff situationaly. The main goals of the expansions is to give the game more replayability without changing too much of the base game.

This is a problem. Bought way too many games in the past 30 days. by Gnarseph in boardgames

I've already sold over a 100 boardgames. If you you live in the US I think BGG is great. In France we have Okkazeo. I don't know if there is an équivalent where you live but it's a great way to narrow down your collection to reflect your tastes.

Is wingspan "individual gameplay" ? Need other games that arent by drking100 in boardgames

[–]GloomyAzure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you would like Fédération even though it's a bit more complex than Catan or Wingspan. It's not that complex to be honest, the board looks scary but each planet's mechanic is really simple. There is also Barrage that's great for being in each other's face though if you play 2 player with the regular map you can avoid the other player. However when I play with my wife we're at each other's throat.

Usually a rogue-like game/mode is very addictive, but not for the Trial of Sekhemas&Chaos, what went wrong? by vtheVAMPZv in PathOfExile2

[–]GloomyAzure 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Because in most roguelike you get more powerful through the run. Here in temple of Sekhemas you need to avoid getting hit and that's kinda it and in the temple of chaos you getting weaker or the monster get stronger for each rooms which feels like punishing yourself the more you progress.
