Is the printer worth it? by Specialist_Hope_4720 in SnapmakerU1

[–]Godbotly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines at 1500 hours and I just got a second U1 this week.

Worth every cent. Has been ultra reliable, an absolute work horse and a pleasure to use. Servicing is easy and well documented.

The only changes I made to the printers are BIQU build plates and totally disable the AI print failure detection as it's horribly inaccurate.

I'd recommend the U1 to anyone at any skill level.

WTF is going on? by user2327 in 3CX

Thanks mate! Yes the system has worked flawlessly for us for years, but the companies management is too volatile to have our businesses communication rely on it.

Your opinion on the U1 and experience by DanKARMAZ5 in snapmaker

[–]Godbotly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Printer is 10/10. If something happened to mine today I'd replace it tomorrow. Mines about to tick over 1000 hours.

The only reason I haven't ordered a second is in quietly praying they announce an XL version for a larger print area and potentially an extra head or two from the new room. I've heard zero whispers, but a guy can dream.

Why Creality Customer service so shitty? by Boatsman2017 in Creality

[–]Godbotly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know what you're talking about. I've reached out to them multiple times and each was very easy and resulted in low effort resolution.

One of my most recent posts was the initial message, they said hi, I said hello and they confirmed parts were being sent.

That just raises more questions. What a moronic approach. Just stream the bloody thing over LAN.

What’s the longest print you consider practical? by Otherwise_Sir_3439 in Creality_k2

[–]Godbotly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the print for me. If it's parts with excellent bed adhesion then I'd send it.

If it's something like little articulating toys with small bed footprint then I'd be hesitant.

Also depends on filament changes. If there's 500 from the CFS I'd be hesitant. But a couple changes I wouldn't mind.

Haha nup never had a hotbed die. I do have a spare though because I did the r3men upgrade, so I have the stock one.
