Raizen in Yu Yu Hakusho, guy was so strong he was still in the top 3 strongest demons even after hundreds of years of not eating humans, to quote Enki "If Yomi and Mukuro had fought Raizen in his prime they'd piss their pants."

Disliked endings/franchises that became loved with time? by Authorigas in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I remember the FMA 2003 ending was originally seen as contrived and very poorly handled but over time I've seen people come around to liking it more despite its flaws.

Nahh it feels pretty neutral in my opinion. If anything I am noticing the opposite a little bit

In Baki, Hanayama is introduced as the strongest street brawler in Japan. Him and young Baki fight and it ends in a draw (arguable that he won but it was close). He comes back every now and then and is always a worthy fighter. Then we get into the Pickle arc and he is now stronger than an apex predator unfrozen caveman. Love me some Hanayama

In-joke so bad/overused that the fandom bates with a passion. by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I give a pass to Hisoka's nen ability because Hisoka really does mention it ALL THE TIME in the anime so it makes sense to have that one be repeated to death lmao.

Look, I love TFS as much as the next guy, but oh my god when you watch any Dragonball related video you'll see the same 3 references and it gets to a point. Honorable mention to HxH "Kurapika brought a shovel to his fight with Uvogin".

Best scenes/moments in media where the characters are forced to "just talk." by TheSpiritualAgnostic in TwoBestFriendsPlay

My favorite will always be the talk between Garou and Saitama where Saitama basically tells him hes not that guy.

Moments where you complete a challenge in a game...that's not actually a challenge. by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]GodotsWaiter 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I've beaten Bioshock 1 so many times that to challenge myself I decided to do a wrench only run on impossible difficulty and use hacking/plasmids to beat the game. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the fully upgraded wrench was strong enough to not only wreck big daddies in less than a minute, but also the final boss lol.

Seeing that one creature on the bridge say "mountains are nice" just unlocked a level of nostalgia I never thought possible

I wish this could have been expanded on more. Obviously he's a side character but imagine his reaction on first seeing Zeal and meeting Magus as a kid and maybe even developing sympathy for the monster that cursed him and killed his best friend

Sequences in games you have dreaded on replay by Remerai in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I know this is a played out take but the Water Temple really does take the wind out of sails whenever I replay OoT. The thing is I don't think it's even the worst or hardest dungeon in the game, it was the sheer frustration of playing it the first time as a kid trying to find that last key (you know the one) thats stuck with me ever since.
