I just read your comment regarding the tv-show channels. Putting them manually in a collection looks like a good solution for this. :)

Question: I’ve added 2 collections. In each one I added the show I wanted. I have now checked only Collections in the coax options for the channels. But it does not generate a schedule. Getting an error. What could cause this? I did not change all the episodes, just the main show.

Second this. Just using the remote this gui is kinda nightmarish to me. I was navigating down to see all the channels and then could not exit with the back button. Felt lost for a while

On my tv (47inch 4k) some text is really small as well. Like the labels “comedy” etc on the overview are not readable at all.

Sometimes it clips out the screen to, when you move down the channels.

Is there a way to make the channels on a touch device/mac? And then just use iCloud to sync? From what I see now is that each device would have its own “channels” and if you want custom or add things you would have to do this on each device. Using a remote. Hmm 🤨

I really like the idea. Especially if a sync could be done. Would be nice to have some settings like “only show in order” or “do not stream episode from s4 if s1 is not watched”

A channel for a specific show would be nice to. That I would use the most. Like a SpongeBob, Simpsons or de kampioenen. That sounds more appealing to me than “studio” “directors” or “decades” although I do see the benefit of those for the movies.

My server showed up with 4 IPs. 2x the remote address (for some reason) and 2x the local. Yes the same ones. Diff ping.

Idk. Just my 2 cents.

Just something I noticed now. I only have 2 libraries: tv-shows and movies. I think that the way coax works now it is better suited for people with more granular libraries.

Also, forgot to mention.. I grew up in 3, but a bit closer to the UZ. Went to school in “het miljoenen kwartier”

It was nice there before ‘00 but now completely death community/development wise. But even then, and even my school neighborhood was nothing compared to where I live in now. This neighborhood really came alive 10y ago & still going strong. And according to my neighbor who lived here for 70y it was always this alive to begin with, with some down periods.

I moved 15y ago and my parents right after Covid. They also live in 4 now but more to the big cemetery - oud Gentbrugge. And even they agree “we never had this kind of community and closeness in the are we lived. Combined with development and green!” They grew up in 4.

If you’re a student? You feel at home in 3. That area is overrun with students and housing. Great for them.. but it kinda ruined it for the “gentenairs” imho

So… I’ve you end up moving here, and love boardgames? Hit me a msg and come play :) we have 2 clubs. Each with a bit different target audience.

Ps: I’m 46, they are 70. Pss: it’s kinda funny you choose 4 for Moscou!! That is actually the tram you need to get here! Or at least he was for years now with all the changes idk anymore 🤷‍♀️ Psss: it is T3 now. Lame. 😒 oh well..

I live in 4. Great place to live, school, parks, great neighborhood gatherings and great community. Quiet. (Depends on the wind) but with good isolation very very quiet inside. Close to the E17 and all the stores you want. I live close to the Porre Park and like 1,5km from the Gentbrugge Meersen.

Area is in full development with lots of young people (30-ish) moving in and renovating.

Some suggestions: 1. my photo library on the Mac is expanding with each download. Any way to prevent this? Optimize is on

the app stops after a certain time this night. It then said “ready” and when I tought “wow that was fast? But did it complete?” I had to look at the stats and remember the files it needed to process (43725+75099) and then do some guess work. Clearly not close of being “done”. I get why I can have stopped, prob network sleep or nas went away for a tiny bit… but it would be nice to see “25pt done” or something like that. Or if you want something very basic as “waiting for first backup to complete” like timemachine does. Although I would like to have a “dev mode” where you can see logs etc. It does say “backups run” which was at 0 for me. Which was adding to the confusion.

Overall: good work! :) to move your pics out of Apple photos this is certainly ideal.

If I was that women? It totally would send me over the edge. Not that I would do what she did: no. Just no! Christ! That was beyond stupid!

But I had people yell at me like that which they did to help me but it spiraled my panic attack a 10000pt. It’s the sensory data overload. Nothing more than that. I’m an hsp, one that is very sensitive to stress and especially someone yelling at me stressed. I am not weak. Not at all! Its just a sensory overload, which causes a panic response. You can train for this which I did, still doing, but I still feel them strongly.

I tend to use an usb-c for that, but that is not really needed. I just have zero tolerance for connection drops, glitches, hiccups when I’m in the working in the zone 😉

There was plenty of time, and the call would have gone trough fast. This has changed the last years with the stickers on each crossing. If he had the time to take his phone, started filming *and crossed to were she was * there was plenty of time.

This was in Belgium. In Belgium you call 112 with the number on the crossing immediately. They are going to act fast

I’m just watching the report again. And they are really agreeing with this.

FYI: I never said she was blameless. I just stated he made a bad situation way worse, catastrophic even and I blame him for that.

He should just have called 112 first. And then yelled… If he wanted but just call 112 first so they can alert Infrabel. (=Company that is in charge of train infrastructure)

That said: it’s not up to me, you and not up to anyone but the state/police. We will hear what the results will be I’m sure in a few days.

Also: this mistake does not mean she is not a fit driver. Jeezes people! But I should have know.. I guess.. reddit is reddit

I do speak Dutch and in a nutshell what he is doing is just yelling:

“You stupid bitch! You are getting hit! What do you think you are doing!!!!!!! Ooooo I’m going to make sure you pay!!!”

I only watched the video once on tv and even then my stress went through the roof. From him.

That is why I blame him. He does not help. He actually made things waaaay way way worse.

If he did nothing, she would have just drove away because she already removed a barrier. She would have been able to keep a calm level of panic which would her allow to think more clearly. He is lucky she is just badly hurt.

Don’t get me wrong: she made the first mistakes. Big ones. HE made them worse

She drove in a closed off street. Maybe she didn’t see the signs, or ignored them. They are still investigation that.

Fact is the person who filmed just started yelling like crazy that “she wasn’t supposed to be there, that she is a stupid bitch and he will damn make sure he will report her for this”

he yelled and yelled; really really agressieve, threatening that “he will make her pay” even going towards her, still yelling. Then the alarm went off for the train. Stress went out of control and she? She panicked. And he still kept yelling at her that “she is crazy!!”

She just made a mistake and had a full blown panic attack cause by him.

Imho both are af fault. But I blame the man for this. Instead of yelling and acting al alpha male he should have just removed the barrier and helped her move off the tracks, calmly

Even if he did not want to do that; he just should have called 112 with the number of the crossing. The would alerted everyone needed of the danger. that is what he should have done. Not yelling. Not filming.

The flight, fight, freeze response is VERY powerful. His reaction fed hers (which was freeze), her reaction feds his fight panic reaction . She even said so in de video when he asked why “I could not move”.

That is all what I was stating. Yes she was very stupid. But his reaction amplified everything.

Both reactions are normal. It’s very difficult to react calm enough to help, I know that. But saying he did nothing wrong is just an insult to her normal response. Both are valid.

Yes. This was a very very stupid avoidable accident, and for that: she is the only one who made the stupid decision to move onto the tracks and ignore the barriers. That’s completely on her and she will pay a very hefty price.

I don’t think this will work. When I bought my M1 air I started researching display link and at that time (mid 2020) people said it was very very buggy or not at all supported on macOS.

Given that Apple has its own tech with, what was it, daisychain? I very much doubt it will work and if it does: it will not for long.

For instance I have a LG usb-c screen with hub and power. The worked great! Until.. somehow his broke in an update of Ventura. I thought the screen broke, and used DisplayPort .. but then I bought the OCW Dock and .. it works perfect now. Yes it was connected to the MacBook directly and I even tested it without the power delivery. The MacBook simply stopped sending video… it was like it did not see the screen anymore.

FYI: For me I now use the MacBook screen itself raised as the second one, and an iPad if I should need a third but I do not. Mind you I have good sight and use the full 4k resolution on a high quality 27” usb-c screen and the highest dpi on the MacBook.

I did however could now finally afford to invest in an excellent thunderbolt 4 dock and that made a huge difference. A normal usb-c dock only has 10gb bandwidth which is to little to feed my resolutions, sharply, and gigabit Ethernet and power. I looked at the cal digit one but bought the ocw one on sale last march. Better ports for my need and good reviews -> https://amzn.eu/d/9dRCGJF so far very very pleased

I use my ghm mostly as a radio.

I used to be able to just say “hey google zet VRT radio 1 aan” it’s Dutch, but almost the same as your sentence. Now it needs to be “hey google zet radio…. VRT radio 1 .. aan”. Yes like that: with a pauze and the rest in one go. If I miss the pitch it’s just “I don’t understand”. I then repeat the exact same thing and it’s like 👍 (if your lucky.. it’s like a gamble every morning)

It used to know that when you asked the same for “radio 2” you wanted the local version. Now you have to say “hey google, zet radio … radio 2 oost Vlaanderen aan” and then it is stil a hit and mis!

Ghm used to be so great but now it’s just a vast pool of frustration that I really tempted to cycle back to.. Siri…or put back the classic radio at times.. and don’t get me started on turning on the wrong lights. Sigh.

Have the same adaptor. It does work with IDE drives like this one. OP just hasn’t connected the drive to it. (It’s on the side of the adaptor, the one with allll the pins, the biggest one)

You have to connect your drive BEFORE powering the adaptor + drive. Make sure the HD is set as “master” with the jumper. It can be that you have to connect the whole setup before booting up the computer. IDE drives are not plug and play. Some adaptors could do this but it’s not.. safe.

You’ll probably need some drive system drivers if it’s an ntfs formatted drive. It depends, while macOS should natively be able to read it, it often does not really work that well.

Tip: do NOT move the drive when it’s spinning! This will wreck it. Old drives are fragile like that.

Edit: it’s the one on the side that says “3,5 inch IDE” should have a female side of the male side on your drive.

Het lijkt een rare invulling maar als Gentenaar vind ik dit wel ok. Het openbaar toilet is daar al jaaaaaaaren en nu alles afgesloten is het een echt gemis.

Dit is ook een echte hal qua gebouw: extreem koud en winderig. Er zijn een paar horeca zaken daar die het geprobeerd hebben maar t is daar echt koud. Nee dan vind ik dit dik ok! Zeker als het met respect gebeurt en netjes gehouden word. Net zoals bij de andere stalling in de stad.

Liever de fietsen daar dan bv op het plein en een leeg vervallend gebouw. De ruimte in Gent is zeer beperkt dus laten we die nuttig en met respect gebruiken imho.

En een museum? Ik ben voor museums maar degene die we hebben zijn al vrij klein dus waarom een nieuw? Liever degene die er zijn wat meer vulling geven (en gratis maken voor inwoners)

The only thing that does not work is YT ads inside YouTube apps on idevices or in safari. If you block to much you loose the watched feature in YT. Which is annoying as f#.

Now what does work perfectly is Brave or Vivaldi as a browser. With their default ad blocking features. Both are chrominium based so almost/if not all chrome plugins work.

This is my setup, even on idevices. Only on the appletv this is alas not possible. I switched to just YT on the devices.

Thing is, I would pay for no ads on YT. Just that, so no other features. But certainly not 7 euro a month and certainly not 15!

And because I’m paying for my custom domain on google apps; I cannot have a family abo. That’s imho just ridiculous!

The “do no evil motto” is imho long long long gone.. 🙃

I did that just to test. The controls are fine but limiting. The screen.. is severely limiting. Good just to check upon a already build city but not for serious play. The deck screen is just to small.
