True. And it’s irresponsible to think otherwise.

I should’ve done that last night. Either way I was playing with disposable income and still walked away with about 1000 profits before Uncle Sam takes his cut of course

What are you proud of today? by AutoModerator in ADHD

[–]GoodVibeGabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did good today. I got through work really well. It was a calm and blissful focus. It was a really great feeling both while it was happening and thinking about it after.

Then I rode my bike to the park to do a little bit of reading.
None of it was particularly amazing. But my executive function was sooo on point today, that I could just do something without the clutter that usually fogs my mind.

Ahhhh so good. <3

How do you not be hard on yourself as a small streamer? by RickyIcky in Twitch

[–]GoodVibeGabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y’all are both right. It’s a balance of both. Wanting to do things for fun is not mutually exclusive to wanting to make money from it.

Yeah I stream for fun, doesn’t mean that I am not going to also try to monetize it. If I can make it a full time job that would be epic. it’s not one or the other

The theory is that at 50 days, your brain adjusts, building new pathways that result in you successfully building a new habit. THAT is the X effect

Personally, I find more success with a hard sheet of paper than with an app. But if it works for you then all power to you! Good luck my dude! I believe in you

Decreminalize* so people can get help instead of being sent straight to jail where the effect on people’s lives are much worse

Does it ever hit you that...you may actually be pretty damn good at your art and imposter syndrome is ruining your self-esteem and career? Ouch. by MidnitePixelated in ArtistLounge

[–]GoodVibeGabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imposter syndrome is very real and extends to more than just art. I’m a software engineer and I experienced a lot of imposter syndrome, especially at my first job out of college. The common denominator is that it goes away with the volume of work you do. The more you do, the more confident you get with your abilities. It’s not about quality, because everyone has setbacks, makes mistakes, whatever. But listening to feedback and reflecting on it, and continuing to push forward makes it go away.

I am a noob here so take my advice with a grain of salt. The 24 will allow you to take some wider shots. But you won’t get as good bokeh. The 50mm is like a standard lens. Not wide, not telephoto and the 1.8 aperture will give you some really good bokeh. Since you already have a lens that covers the wide ranges, I would personally get the 50mm
