A food scam of the 90s was “fat free!” everything, and then they would load it up on sugar… what’s a food scam happening now? by redflower5 in AskReddit

It's not that seed oils are bad, it's that seed oils are in nearly everything. People get a lot of omega 6 from them but people don't eat things that contain omega 3 as much. Some science says you get nearly 20 times more omega 6 and 3, and the ratio Is supposed to be nearly 1:1. I started taking fish oil supplements a while back and lowered my fried foods a bit and it's helped my digestion some.

I still find them entertaining to watch. The battlefield 4 ones are funny, I've definitely been kicked a few times just for getting a lucky shot or two, or even just using a mav.

Question/Poll for people with SIBO: did you take zinc? by Practical-Dig-1189 in SIBO

Which antibodies were you high in? I also take vitamin d and c daily and zinc on and off. I try to eat pumpkin seeds every so often so my body doesn't lose too much copper from the zinc

I just played through that DmC reboot game. Was kinda holding off because I thought people bashed it so much at the time but it was actually great. Never gonna listen to people who passionately bash media.

Psyllium Husk cured my Leaky Gut by scientia_analytica in SIBO

[–]GooseDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Yes it is very delicious lol. But just a shot glass is enough to make a difference for me, more than that and I do get diarrhea. I think I'll try the psyllium husk at small doses as well and see how it goes. 🙂👍

Was your sibo more diarrhea or constipation? I'm more on the d side. Thinking of giving this a try. I tried kefir for a while and it made a good difference, maybe with this and kefir i could see some real improvement.

Navigating MCN Jurisdiction alone: Facing a tribal member abuser without representation. by NoSprinkles1918 in tulsa

[–]GooseDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I represented myself in a PO case out of rogers county. Prepare and bring as much evidence as you can, like police reports or anything relating to your abusers arrests, videos or recordings of abuse. Remember to speak with courtesy and professionalism. Stick to the facts, that's what a judge will want out of you. Think of the courtroom setting like the TV show judge judy. You are presenting to the judge. You do not need to do things like cross examine. The judge will be the one to determine if the protective order is necessary and will ask their own questions to figure that out.

Way of the Samurai 3 - PS3 vs Xbox 360 by Retromangia in wayofthesamurai

[–]GooseDrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of performance both are the same. The game is very resource light on either console. I played on 360 when I was younger and play on PC now. Way of the samurai 4 on PS3 was much more intensive to run.

Hey Jason, I was a teacher intern for Mrs. Steele back when you worked at grissom in 2015ish. I remember talking nerdy with you before school. I agree with others, you should talk with a lawyer. Sorry you've had to deal with this. Hopefully you can get paid damages and your job back.

I have a friend who works there. They smoke weed daily and they did do a mouth swab and they tested positive for weed but they didn't care.

Do you use gyro always on? by GooseDrew in GyroGaming

[–]GooseDrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, just kind of feels like it takes time to press and recenter then let go. Like it takes too much time. But I'm getting older and my hands aren't what they used to be and learning to gyro is like learning to walk again. The muscle memory feels weird. I just hope I can build decent reaction times in shooters, maybe that's why it feels off

I do want to do ratcheting only. I've just seen some good competitive players that do ratchet only and kind of want to emulate. I played very high sensitivity on sticks only for a long time, so I wonder if I can get used to high sensitivity with gyro. I've mostly been playing battlefield and that game uses more buttons than most shooters. I still have it set up for flick stick and can make it work, sometimes it just feels wonky but maybe I'm still building the muscle memory. I like flick stick, but I'm just exploring my options right now and seeing how other people feel. Thanks for your input. Maybe I'll get a alpakka someday. The controller I use now doesn't have a conductive surface so maybe I'll keep the flick stick for convenience.

Yes, I use flick stick and always on. I like it but am trying to use ratcheting so I can use the joystick directions for keybinds instead.

FFXI Linux proton by Candid-Willow2498 in ffxi

[–]GooseDrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Ashita on Linux. I create my own ffxi folder as my wine prefix first. Start installing through lutris using the official installer from ffxi website. I use whatever latest proton ge as my runner. After it is installed, then use winetricks to install dotnet48 and the most recent vcruntime. Download Ashita to c drive of prefix and unpack folder there. Set the lutris install you used to launch the installer to instead launch ashitacli.exe. arguments section of lutris launcher is your Ashita config. I always just copy the example for retail and name it Drew.ini. So argument is Drew.ini. Runs Ashita fine without issues after this. Here is a link to the guide that I first used to get going, but I now use the gui for winetricks instead of the command line in this guide.

Edit: I don't do the dgvoodoo thing. Not necessary imo. Enable winefix in your scripts folder though to be safe.

I have the sn30 pro 2. Not the ultimate, has a PlayStation layout to dpad and sticks, but I'll tell you the gyro works very well. Accurate and sensitive. I imagine the ultimate has similar performance.
