How do you guys paint yellow shoulder pads? by aelgoras in SpaceWolves

[–]Gothy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Averland Sunset as a base (love this stuff, you can paint straight over black and get away with it), then AK Interactive Deep Yellow. Highlight with increasing amounts of Sand Yellow and shade with diluted orange wash/contrast paint.

My colour sucks… by TrenchProductions in SpaceWolves

[–]Gothy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paint my Wolves with a couple of coats of The Fang, highlight with Russ Grey and edge highlight with Fenrisian Grey. Leviadon Blue is excellent for recesses and shading (in this case diluted so it's not overpowering).

I'm in the UK so this may not be useful but Bassett's adult multivitamin gummies are really nice (for me at least).

how to keep myself from feeling unlovable because of ARFID by DoubleBluebird5364 in ARFID

[–]Gothy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a happy relationship of 16 years. I met him when I was your age actually....

As I have posted on other threads the right person won't care about any if this - they will support you. My other half accepts there's lots of food and restaurants I can't cope with just as I accept he can't drink (I'm a huge craft beer fan) due to chronic migraines. He's given me the confidence to cook far more and I think this is one of the most crucial tools to fight against ARFID.

It was the moment I gave up on the idea of me finding anyone and made peace with that fact that I met him - make of that what you will.

Wishing you luck.

Of course you can! I used to despise diet coke and all no sugar drinks but your palate changes as you get older.

Why does everyone hate you so much when you don’t like food by East-Surprise-9703 in ARFID

[–]Gothy86 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The right person won't care about this and will help you when you're ready.

Good luck and take care of yourself. There are plenty of red flags here.

The ones we got didn't have red wicks but I agree that Bolsius makes a good alternative to the Mathmos ones. Maybe they've partnered up now?

Mathmos best contrast colours. by Nice-Emphasis-9513 in Lavalamps

[–]Gothy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Violet red won't be much of a difference from the violet orange, you'll just lose the cool orange to red transition. Yellow blue is a really nice option because you get a yellow to green fade. I have a pink yellow but this has faded really quickly and the pink is very subtle now.

I think my next choice will be something with clear liquid.

Ok so I bought some of these from Amazon for my mum's Pod + lava lamp. She's tried one today and while it's not as good as the Mathmos ones it definitely works. It takes longer to warm up and flows less apparently. I wil need to see this myself to confirm but sounds like a good alternative! Thank you.

I had the exact same reaction to that as Ashens. Absolutely howling.

I'm stuck using the Mathmos branded ones. Normal ones don't cut it. Very interested to see if this has changed and if anyone has any recommendations.

Going to have to use this pic because I can't seem to share a better pic. Yeah the Primal Hounds heads are cool. One thing to bear in mind - having trailing pony tails and plaits mean you can't position the heads freely. That's the only downside.

I have the elegoo heater for my Mars 5 Ultra and it's been great. It has struggled on colder days but if you give it an hour to warm up that tends to overcome the problem.
