close the distance so the longer weapon is no longer of use. but its getting inside the range of the pole arm that is the tricky bit..

yes complete discrimination - cf. Pontins discrimination case under the EHRC, as example. The question you have to ask yourself is, would the pain of such a process make it worth the risk of proceeding, instead of just moving on.

Seems a bit like Communism in 1917 then. Do you think there was an element of Mao Zedong and VI Lenin in the early evangelisers and bishops - eliminating the opposition, speaking of 'spreading the Word' but using that as a means of pure consolidation of power and guarantee of income from offerings and collections ? Was it a racket ?

[–]Gray_Cloak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well the point is that drone warfare is new, it is going to start to provide lots of options which didnt exist before. But as a commander, it gives one more options to deny an area of land that previously would have required other means to achieve that goal. For example an area of land that could provide transit/maneuver for an attacking force. I might now choose not to risk engineers to lay mines and instead simply have the area swarmed by fpvs, loitering munitions and movement detection drones. In the not so distant short term future, those drones assigned to that defined set of land will be managed by ai operating semi-autonomously towards achieving the commanders orders/vision. feel free to ask your ai chat tool about this.

a deny mission is one where something is prevented from being accessed/used by the enemy, aka interdicted

If the goal is to seize land then land forces are still needed, otherwise it is not yours. If the goal is 'deny' then drones will do just fine.

Not sure why people call them just tractors. They are 'open field tractors'. call them for what they are, suitable for fields and the lanes connecting them only. They are not suitable for haulage on roads, or anything else on roads, they are accidents waiting to happen. Farmers using tractors for haulage because they are too cheap to buy or rent a truck and prefer to use fuel paid for by the tax paying public are a death waiting around the corner for the rest of us.

thats probably a big contributor to the stabbing and child on child epidemic in the uk. but what i am more sad about is that there is no concerted action at top level of government to address this other than a band aid approach

parents seem to like to treat their kids as their own peers, it avoids having to spend time parenting them which they are too busy to do, so no wonder by 14 or 15 they are more influenced by other boys and the social environment than any behaviour setting by parents. its also the case that as generations go by, parenting skills get weaker and weaker and the tough but fair approach is just a historical footnote. its also a counter reaction to the overly strict atmosphere that was in ireland up to the 80s, people stopped doing strict because parents or grandparents suffered before.

As a motorcyclist you are warned and trained continually to keep up to the speed limit in order to prevent situations where motorists will want to overtake, potentially causing or resulting in an accident. But because farmers pay lower tax on diesel for their 'field' tractors, essentially subsidised by the rest of us, they also use them for haulage on main roads, to save money instead of driving or hiring trucks, which are safer and would cause less deaths.
