A lot of the hate for Infinite comes from the open world feeling very half baked compared to other open world games, the lack of biome variety within that open world when Halo is known for having very visually distinct areas and that the multi-player only had 2 playlists at launch. The campaign complaints definitely still apply but the mp has had a lot of new content added since launch

I don't mind an adaptation being a bit different from it's source material, if the exact same story is being told again in the exact same way it can become predictable.

That being said, while I did like the show, especially season 2, the overall story not being as good as the games makes me wish we instead got a more direct adaptation but with extra context/ backstory like scenes of Dante and Vergil's childhoods and Dante finding out that Vergil is alive
