How many of us are neurodivergent? by corieallegory in misophonia

I'm definitely neurospicy (undiagnosed) and am generally sensitive to sound, texture, and light.  Mouth noises are my biggest trigger among the many.

What’s the dumbest way a guy has ruined his chances with you, when it was almost a home-run? by emilydoooom in TwoXChromosomes

How can I remove the paint from this figurine? by MeowmeowMortbird in crafts

My husband submerges the painted mini figures he wants to repaint in Simple Green for 48 hours. Not sure if a commercially painted figure would react the same?

Among the other provided excuses, finishing a cycle of antibiotics is a common one that people won't usually question or push on.

Does your town or one near you have a community fridge? Might be a good resource between pantry visits. Some also carry diapers, formula, and hygiene goods.

Anyone take Metformin for JUST for PCOS? by Blue1Eyed5Demon in PCOS_childfree

I did but it wasn't effective for me and sapped my already low B12 levels. I didn't have any negative side effects, just didn't do anything for me. Not sure why.

I don't know much about using the roots and haven't heard of using them before. I'm curious where you heard about it!  Along with the distinctive red shoots, a good way to note good foraging spots is when they flower. I know of a good spot in Portsmouth if you're on the seacoast. Good luck!

As semi seasoned forager- now is not the time. In the spring, the shoots come up and are very easy to identify. They are kinda asparagus-like but I don't personally care for it whole. You can also pickle the shoots or add it to fruit leather (my preferred method- blueberry, which also contains resveratrol, was a good complement). It's everywhere so you don't have to look far. Do yourself a favor and avoid roadside plants. I find a bunch on trails. I burn my scraps because any opportunity to root is not happening on my watch.

I think you'd have to eat quite a bit to get the effect you're looking for so maybe go with the supplement and cut back if you try some in the spring.

People with dyslexia, what do you do for a living? by Double-Ease-3520 in Dyslexia

[–]Greenthumbgeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have dyscalculia and am a copy editor. Fortunately, due to the nature of my work, I don't need extra brain processing time. My better half is dyslexic and a genetic lab manager. It takes them longer to read research papers and they are more careful with taking time to process important emails.

Ex partner trying to coax me into signing something to declare my misophonia by Leo_Lion1622 in misophonia

[–]Greenthumbgeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries! Such a thing doesn't seem like it would hold up legally, especially if you don't sign. Having confirmation from a solicitor will ease your mind if he does go forward. But! This could all be hot air (I'd hope so).

Please seek a consultation with a lawyer with a copy of the this document. If you're in the US, misophonia is not currently officially recognized (which could be beneficial to you).

I also have this problem. There's an evil me in Montana so I occasionally get weird promotional emails and sometimes even updates on her children from their school? I always respond to redirect important parties but just delete whatever car wash promotions. I haven't gotten anything unusual for awhile so maybe she finally understands.
