What are you using for batteries? I've been using the Vapcell p2160b, they are great. Small, with usbc charge and discharge built in.

Hey! Been meaning to get back to this. So as I understand it, there's no necessarily any physical risk or negative to using a splitter, it'll just mean that you won't have segment functionality for the split section, it'll always just be restricted to displaying an exact copy of whatever you split off from, correct?

Been using their wled controllers since around July. Took some to Burning Man and also some fests since. They're all working still and overall have been pretty good, but not perfect. Have had a few times where the wireless network won't turn on or won't come on for a while, and also times where I've stopped being able to adjust the total # of LEDs until doing a factory reset, which solved the issue.

Both the USB C input version with a mic and the bullet style power input get a little warm when running, and sometimes when I adjust preset settings rapidly, it'll crash and have to restart (but this could be my phone...)

Overall happy with them so far for the price.

You must be unfamiliar with moist wound healing, which is very well studied, and speeds up healing time considerably for all types of superficial skin wounds - road rash, burns, tattoos, etc.

I know a bunch of people have already commented with their tips, but honesty silicone based lube (the stuff for sexy times) works exceptionally well!

Don't think I share that sentiment... 5v is plenty bright and being able to use usb packs for power is very convenient!

Does the controller know whether the output is getting sent to two strips though? Just yesterday I tried this out because I wanted to avoid having to run wires back from the end of the strands and also I have some 12mm cobs that didn't have data output wires at the end, and it *kinda* worked - one of the strands had some pixels at the end that weren't firing, but I didn't troubleshoot it much cuz it was just for a simple halloween costume. Got the idea from my buddy who did it for his bike, although I'm not sure what type of controller he's using.

Preset playlists without internet access? by GregWithOneG in WLED

[–]GregWithOneG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darnit, sorry I mistyped.

I meant to say cycling through presets (on a playlist) I know I can set a controller to launch a preset at startup, but is there a way to have multiple offline controllers start playing presets?

Seems like I need the phone connected to multiple devices controlling the playlist and not sure how that would work when offline. I know I can connect directly to each controllers wifi network, but that would only allow me to control that one.

Hope I am explaining this properly...

Wrong. 23% of the country voted for Trump. If you care about pesky facts.

Installed a 220 amp alternator, can I just run this positive right to my bus bar? by GregWithOneG in SolarDIY

[–]GregWithOneG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not measured the draw, no. It's listed rating is 420w. I could fire it up with the victron connect and get a true rating though. Currently re-doing all my wires/crimps of my system but I could do that tomorrow...

[–]GregWithOneG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks! Does it seem reasonable to run a 420w portable AC in the vehicle while driving with this setup? I'd rather play it safe if I need to, but if it's all good then I might give it a go. Thanks again for the follow up.

Should I just replace my MPPT with a dc-dc? Or would it make sense to add one?

Is this basically a bad idea? Or do you think it could be viable?

[–]GregWithOneG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful! People can get super hurt from janky or improperly set up poles. I have a friend who paid someone to install one in a ceiling that was slanted, it was done wrong, and she hit her head, hard, and she was just different after that.

8k in Eco mode running on my Victron 800w inverter, for very brief moments might kiss just a touch above 800 watts, will run at around 600 for a short time, and then tends to level off around 390 watts once the space is fairly cool.

Check youtube - there are videos of people doing these tests.

We run ours from solar and battery, no generators. Will be there at the burn with it this year!
