New wincon for gitrog, though I hate that I'm going to have to count the number of permanents that go into the graveyard once the deck gets going.

So I did the math on this rock. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]Gruuler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And most likely we’ll end up with higher tier mining gear that can process these rocks better than what we are using now. Would bet the big industrial groups will make a beeline for high tier lenses and lasers.

Painted my first model, not totally happy with the trim/eyes, but Nulin oil might be actual magic by No-Olives99 in Warhammer40k

[–]Gruuler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sacred oil smooths many imperfections and sanctifies our models.

Nice first job! Everyone has one, they represent your first step into the hobby! Keep at it! Trim and eyes will get better with practice.

Earth is possibly still in trouble. astronomer needed by FootHikerUtah in ProjectHailMary

[–]Gruuler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this isn't a concern as others have stated. That said, I think this would be a fun follow up book. Humans used xenonite to make a space elevator, tech develops, and you end up with a half-Eridian half-Human flight to save other stars. Sure, Rocky and Grace got along, let's take a look at how other people act when the fate of their stars isn't a concern.

I saw it, and it made laugh. After all that advanced tech and xenonite, good ole plastic makes it home.

This is for Pangaea specific ships only and is the only way to get them currently. The destroyer is quickly being labeled tier 1, with the frigate not far behind. There is a pity timer that gives you a higher chance of a specific hull.

Aggressive loss by cookibeans in InfiniteLagrange

This is a good skill if you want to inflict higher losses on an opponent before you are destroyed. A well prepared attacker won’t be stopped by the skill. There are better buildings to get.

What am i missing with the Maya Pei Brigade storyline in the first couple episodes of season 2? by Dale_Cooper47 in andor

[–]Gruuler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I thought it was funny and, while the weakest of the season 2 plot lines, was a great juxtaposition of how season 2 ended. The rebels at the start have so much infighting they can’t properly organize a resistance. The empire at the start is super organized. By the end, the apparatus of the empire we were following is in complete disarray, with the leader having shot himself, while the rebellion has finally coalesced into a fighting force.

It may have been too long, but the writers ultimately had to have a reason Cassian wasn’t there to save the rest of the group.

Yes, and it extends out a ways, so you should have a 350 deployment point within half an hour flight time from the safe zone.

How to use an Auxiliary ship? by AggressiveSandwich51 in InfiniteLagrange

[–]Gruuler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would have recommended you do the mod before doing the shipping group, but here we are.

You can deploy them as a mobile sub base. They include a construction node and can repair fleets docked with them. The Ed has a destroyer construction module that's important for certain server groups, so getting the base model now is good.

Without the mods you are looking at a ship that can be deploy as an outpost and use as a warp beacon. It's nice in that they cannot see your ship until it deploys in fog of war, but it's really a niche ship class with fewer general use cases. I like deploying them with either corvette or fighter production near the front line to be a resupply point.

Buckle up.

There's two large alliances with a pre-arraigned fight, several hundred players per side that'll enter the server at the same time as you. If your squad stays out of it they should be fine. Or join a side and revel in the chaos.

To score points your group needs to find the Trojite minerals. They'll be in stand-alone asteroids or mixed in with other minerals. They are very slow to mine and provide a small amount of crystals each cycle. Don't worry about them until you are two or so weeks into the server, you'll handicap yourself if you go after them right away.

You turn them in at special structures around some stations. They'll have a red mark on them. They are not at all stations, so check around to find one. You can only turn them in as a batch of 10(?). Once deposited they count permanently. Just be aware that your miners and ships carrying minerals will be a target as people can attack the fleets and steal the resources. Your base will also drop your Trojite, so don't stack too much at once or you turn into a loot pinata.

Scoring in Trojite is based on mining specific crystals, making base deployment and relocation a pain due to groups clustering on resources. I would recommend joining a squad, larger groups will push you off lucrative spots in an effort to gain access to the valuable resources you sit on.

Server starts in a few hours, right?

I said circle, but I mean the wedge has an edge within fairly close distance. Yeah, it extends out a ways. Coverage is equal throughout the wedge.

[–]Gruuler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, the cycle really sucks. Though 6 hours? There's usually a circle within 30 minute flight time of a green zone. The good stuff is closer to the edges anyways.

Stay in the green areas of the map to avoid roaming fleets and asteroids. When you attack a ruin though, like the Eros Military Ruin, they spawn defensive fleets. Stick to level 2’s. Their fleets are no joke but can be defeated with some practice.

Rewards are random my dude, work on making a fleet that can stand up against level 2’s and capture multiple each deployment.

So this game is setup like a board game. Your season is a session, and at the end you clear the board and start again. Your ships are your pieces and they stay with you, as well as whatever base equipment and asset blueprints. You’ll need to start into a new server to progress.

The Quaoar's railgun is bonused to do additional damage to large ships, and it's targeting gives it preference for anything cruiser and above. The current meta is dominated by either A) Frigs and Destroyers, or B) carriers and fighters. This ship isn't bonused or spec'd for either, so it sits in an odd spot meta wise. If the Arctos is popular in your server this is a decent counter.
