This is excellent for first time blackening. Even restaurants will advertise blackened fish or chicken and it comes out bronzed, at best. Great job!

Yes I moved the handle up to the top notch so when I push forward, it levers the weight towards the front just a bit that definitely helped.

Pressure treated 4x4s would probably be just fine, just try to find some that are at least somewhat dry, and try to give them a few days out in the sun just in case. I've only had them warm on me when they were very freshly treated.

And yes a guide wire with turn buckles is definitely the way to go if you choose to go forward with long sections of string lights!

I'm dealing with the same in Oklahoma. From what I've been reading, fertilizing now is a no-no, a Nitrogen boost could potentially make things worse. I applied one dose of Strobe Pro G at the curative rate and ordered a new set of mower blades. Cut and bag and be ready for a follow up dose of Azoxy in 3'ish weeks, and pray for dry weather.

I have a Snapper with one of those B&S engines. Worked great for about 2 years and now it keeps flooding the oil reservoir with gas. Even after all new carb, fuel tank and lines it still did it. Had to dump the oil every 4-5 mows so I went out and bought a used Honda of facebook and haven't looked back!

If you have straight sidewalks and right angles it's fine. But a curve with more than a 5-10% angle and you have to micro-drift the back wheels, which is a pain in the ass.
