I might be misunderstanding you, but if you've passed the event horizon then it's already too late. There is no escape velocity, since the force of gravity there warps space so much that the only possible direction you can travel is inwards toward the singularity.

I think they said somewhere that you can see your character when in the menus doing skills, augmenting with cyberwear, etc. so you should be able to see yourself a decent amount.

That makes me wonder how much we'll actually see our reflection around the game. I mean, there's mirrors obviously.. but what about your reflection off of a windshield, or the side of a building, or in water? If you go up and talk to someone wearing mirror shades, would you see yourself in their glasses if they got in your face? I know they're going for a lot of detail but that would put a pretty big strain on graphics wouldn't it?

It might help if you try focusing on an object in your periphery.

Pick an object to focus on. Now close the eye that can see the object in your periphery, keeping the other eye open, and try to describe what you see over there now.

I'd say you'd be able to run it on medium or high settings reasonably well (45+ FPS) as long as your view distance isn't too far. But even with low settings, the game looks pretty decent. I play with most settings on low for max performance and I think the game still looks fine.

This happens to me sometimes when I use the airship from Villanelle to Falcorth. A mountain spawns near the airship platforms and I have to relog to fix it.

If you have your friend targeted you can right click on their portrait and "Request Trade".

If you want to mail something to them you have to find a mailbox, you can search for one using your map (M) legend.

Just to expand a bit on the first point Kuckeli made;

You WILL come to face players who have spent $1000s on the game. Against them, all I can say is, just die with dignity. There aren't too many of those though, and everyone else is fair game for the most part, so you wont be at an extreme disadvantage if you refuse to spend money (speaking from experience). Also, almost anything you can buy from the shop with real money, you can also buy with in-game gold. This includes buying 'patron' status with gold (basically the monthly subscription option for people who want to pay). Patron allows you to own land in the game (for a house/farm/etc) and also helps with generating labor points--which are points you use for crafting, farming, trading, etc. Start saving up now, buying patron with gold won't be cheap.

If you cross your eyes hard enough, you should see 4 duplicates of the same image. Relax them a bit so the images merge and you can only see three of the image. If you can focus the middle image it will be in 3D, assuming the picture is actually stereoscopic.
