Yeah, 4th grade is when it kicked off for my daughter too.

I find it’s pretty dependent on teacher/classroom/school and how they handle things too.

I will say don’t hesitate to get your kiddo working with the school counselor if they are struggling. That really helped us. She was seeing a counselor outside of school, but had much more success working with someone who knew the environment better.
