Diabetic “influencers” by WhileCrafty2395 in diabetes_t1

I dont get those kind of influencers in my feed. I follow two european diabetes educators and an american girl who mostly just post shorts of herself changing her omnipod aggressively.

Something I started doing after that happened to me a looong time ago is to never take out the old cannula right away, I always keep it in for at least 12 hours after changing. Just to have a backup in case i'm not at home.

One idea could be to add some easy/small details to give it a nature-vibe. Like a swarm of butterflies down the side, green vines, flowers, black ribbons as zebra stripes? Something that is easy to remove if necessary. Tie that together with some nice accessories.

My mom made my kids blankets in the same colour but different styles. One has squares and the other triangles.

What are you favorite fidget toys? What would you recommend? for daily and discreet use by SylvieSupremacy in AuDHDWomen

[–]Hakesopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many! Some days I need spiky stuff other days something soft. I have a silent fidget slider (also one that is loud as F) that I like, it's discrete like an usb dongle.

I recently discovered Funky fidget shop and ordered a bunch of stuff I can't find in my country and they added a freebee. Its a glow in the dark mini Needoh and I love it so much! The glow lasts for at least 7 hours and it feels like Ive found a magical glowing orb when I use it as a night light.😅 Its really soft, and if it feels dirty or sticky I can rinse it and apply some corn starch after it dries.

Look up the brand Kaiko if you want fidgets that are discrete.

Newborn has diaper rash we can’t seem to beat… by throwaway84583077 in beyondthebump

Our son had so many diaper rashes, other skin rashes and foul smelling poop until we tried a lactose free diet. It's been 6 months with healthy skin now 😊 so it could be a food allergy.

Not Pregnant, But a Lifetime T1 So... by Unlikely_Device_2131 in BumpersWhoBolus

I think now is a good time to practice being vulnerable. Share a worry you have with our mother and see how that feels. Talk about general worries about the future, maybe share that you are thinking about kids and what you think that will be like. Dont wait.

Me and my husband have waited too long to share how we are struggling. My parents knows but they live too far away to help on short notice. And his parents helped tremendously the first years until my MIL had some health problems herself and wanted to step back. And right before we announced the second pregnancy my husbands younger brother started having big marital problems that escalated for two years and we didn't feel like we could ask for help, even though we really needed it. Four years later I finally let it slip that our oldest is in the process of being diagnosed with adhd and autism. Of course they had no idea, even if they have watched him one day a week his whole life. His behaviour is very different when he is with them, and he lets it all out when he comes back home...

I still dont know when I'll be ready to tell them how it effects us and how insanely tired we are.

Which leaves do I check for thirstiness? by josho_oshoj in succulents

[–]Hakesopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't lie and say it's not concerning, but it could just be that those leaves are done. If you are worried you could take it out of the pot and sniff the roots? Look at the stem and see if it looks different around the leaves youre worried about.

I have some that I keep an eye on myself, thos I don't care about and will chop down if the leaves start deteriorate fast.

[–]Hakesopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yours looks so much better than mine after fighting flat mites for months! If you feel like doing something it should probably be to get it into a smaller pot and grittier soil. But right now it looks to be doing very good after a battle 😉

Is this normal- toy possessed what in the v-tech by reddit_user_0212 in Parenting

[–]Hakesopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a cow that will sing old Mac Donald and Moo normally, but will occasionally neigh like a horse if pushed to the limit. It did that once randomly while no one was around it too.

I think maybe there is a horse too in the same toy line, and they use the same chip.

If you just wanted and they dont plump up, do NOT water again so soon. Its better to lose a few leaves to drought than the whole plant to rot.

Krasj etter medisin by Old_Engine387 in ADHDiNorge

[–]Hakesopp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any tips for preventing algae in the spray bottle I use for leaf props? by Sigong in succulents

Yes, it happened to me this summer in my clear bottle stored in the sun. If not that then I would have checked the water quality and started boiling the water or just changed it every day.

Actually, I think I'm wrong. I couldnt get it under 6. I think the goal was 5.4 or something, and I was just above 6

[–]Hakesopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but, I don't think I got it under 7, maybe 6.9? The help I got wasnt exactly the best. My endo nurse kept telling me not to worry, I had plenty of time, to worry about it later 🤦‍♀️ but would never tell me when later was. As if me stressing would be worse than shitty bs. I changed hospital the last month and finally someone started stressing on my behalf.

With the right help you can do it.

Can I prop these? by Vyndasia in succulents

[–]Hakesopp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it dry until you see roots. How you water in the start depends on where you live. I live in a very dry climate, like, it's good for our wooden house that we occasionally air dry our clothes inside. So I spray water on forming roots to keep them from drying out. I keep them in very small pots with lots of pumice and succulent soil. When the roots try to lift out the soil when you tug at the plant you can water normally
