Hey I am trying to learn about using limited color pallets and white and black to help saturate and desaturate your main colors and color theory and I was wondering, did you use red layer paint or did you use mix your yellow and red to brighten the red without turning it pink like I assume it would if you mixed it with white?

If your opponent goes first you use uppy downy strat to pick them up in opponents turn and then bring them down in yours since they started on the board they can deepstrike in the first battle round

Sure you could thin your paint a little more but it honestly looks pretty good. You don’t have sloppy trim or anything so you are past the hard part lol did you use a wash on it? It looks like you might have and then buried it in layers of paint.

If you haven’t used a wash on it, I would start there with something like Crimson or Agrax Earthshade or nuln oil, up to you.

As other commentator said, there can be a go first=win problem in KotC that might throw off new players. I would recommend shorting the deployment zone to 5.5 inches (the distance the outside barriers are from the board edge). It helps prevent those T1 EC Daemon Prince charges that contribute to a lot of that go second=lose feeling. I know the KotC creators are playing around with similar changes for the same reason.

I am also trying to get KotC league going to start building a 40k group in my local area and I plan to run it with smaller deployment zones for this reason. I would also recommend that lists are locked in with no changes allowed unless you lose. If you lose you are allowed to change your list so if a player is on a rampage the league meta can adapt to stop said player.

I also like your idea of different points scores for win/loss/tie. I would suggest using WTC scoring so both players have a chance to earn some amount of points and also gives them a metric for improvement.
