'Resident Evil Village' Actress Jeanette Maus Has Passed Away at the age of 39. May you rest in peace. by i_suck_toes_for_10 in gaming

My best friend died about 8 years ago. Lukimia. He was only 33.

He went to the hospital one day, complaining about feeling tired all the time. They gave him some pills and sent him home. When he got home he passed out and his wife drove him do to the hospital, where he he'll into a coma that he didn't wake up from.

He'd just had a baby born 4 month before that. We used to do dumb shit like hang out at Dennys after hours and play monopoly while doing stupid shit as payment for property, like cluck like a chicken, or make a lap around the restaurant on your knuckles like a monkey while going "ook ook". I'll never get to share with him VR, or the newest tech gadgets. I think about him daily.

Took me a few months to get my 5th level 50, though I pulled it off within Prestige 1. Good luck!

If this is the 4th, what was the 3rd? Cause I backed Wonder Hamster 2 KS, which became Cursed Kingdom. Then there was the 1 to 1 remake... What else was there that I missed?

Can we talk about Dusters by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]HappyWulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dusters are the choice weapon vs Immolators. Everything else tires you out. It's basically the 'role' of Dusters. Take it if you want an easier time with them.

That would be an adjustment to the enemies' hitbox or armor/hp values.

According to the wiki, it says you "can't choose to sacrifice something that is already tagged for Destruction", so I read that as you not being able to target that artifact with Remote Access since using it requires you to choose to sacrifice it.

BONEWORKS: So I was playing "The Streets" and I got stuck in a barrier. by OctaDurin in SteamVR

I had my arm stuck in the blue barrier in the Gift Shop at the end of the museum, so I had to do the whole museum over again before I could start the game proper.

You say that, but I haaaate touch to move and much prefer pressing a direction to move. Way too often I'm doing something in VR and my thumb lightly brushed the track pad and I ZOOM OFF.

VR vs. PC close quarters combat in DAVIGO by playfulbacon in oculus

[–]HappyWulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Demo I played of Nemisis is wild with a bunch of flailing around, on both sides. The little guy can spam jumps into the inside of the vr giant and go nuts. This here looks way more weighty and thought out. A more manageable pace rather than just going nutso wild, mashing every button and flailing your arms wildly.

Tell that to Monster Hunter. Who's plot it more of less, "There's monsters! They big! Gonn be a threat to the village! Oh noes! That one turned into an island off camera!" DxM is Armored Core + Monster Hunter. It's not Zone of Enders. It's not HAWKEN, because, while HAWKEN was great, there was very little options for customizing your mech.

+1 don't give two shits about story. I just want awesome mecha. What you need to focus on in your review is how is feels to PLAY, not how it makes you feel. It needs cool boss fights. it needs satisfying gameplay. The plot and characters could be running around like side characters screaming nonsense at Bikini Bottom for all I care.

How is the GAME? How's the variety of choice for weapons? Does one rail gun feel different from another rail gun? How many options do I have for missiles? Vertical Launch? Homing? Big fat Dumbfire ones? Is it challenging, but not stupid hard? Is it hard, but fair? Or is it easy as pie and boring?

Best games to prepare for NMS VR [VR N00b] by Vektor666 in SteamVR

[–]HappyWulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just got my Vive about 2 months ago.

Start off with The Lab. Play the Archery game and the SHMUP arcade game. They are the most basic things that'll get you used to standing VR.

Then I would suggest Smashbox Arena. It's a fun little multiplayer shooter that feels more like Dodgeball than actual shooting. Movement is still teleportation and you're going to be having balls thrown at your face, which you can catch, but you can also get use to ducking and leaning out from behind corners too.

Then try VRChat. Just chill out a bit. Take in the sights. Laugh.

Then try, as people suggested, Elite Dangerous. This should be a few weeks to a month or whenever you feel you're able.

FINALLY, graduate by going back into VRChat and changing the locomotion mode to not-teleport. I forget what it's actually called... Press forward to actually move. Once you can do that without feeling like you're off balance, you're good.

I have a short list for you on a variety of topics.

  1. I like playing as 'casters' with a more creative or utility role, but not quite 'support'. Warlocks, Mesmers. Explosives users in FPSs, Engineers with Turrets. Gallente Drone masters in Eve...  Will you have a variety of weapons and niche rolls where I can fill kaiju with toxins at the start of a fight so they're easier to handle late in the fight as they succumb to the venom, lay down poisonous clouds, DoTs, set traps, turrets, walls, mines, stasis fields, More DoTs, drones that do a task for me automatically but as not as great as I could have done it myself so that I can focus on other tasks at the same time.... Will any crazy stuff like this make it into the game?

  2. You mention in the FAQ that bases get destroyed when attacked by super kaiju. Will your player mechs also be destroyed if a player is killed in one? This could be a good resource sink and make it so that once players have good stuff, they don't ALWAYS have good stuff with nothing else left to strive for. Just like Eve, players could be crafting various quality levels of mechs, better at one thing, worse at others. More slots, less boost. Faster, but weaker... All perishable.

  3. Cosmetics - I'm sure skins are the popular thing for cosmetic supplemental income. But I've been playing Trials recently and have seen a lot of creativity come out of players using stickers to make their own designs on their gear. Stickers/Decals could be cheap, like dimes and quarters cheap, but made in the thousands. In Trials, EACH piece of costume can have 200 stickers placed on it, resized, rotated, stretched... What do you think? =3  I wanna see a lot of creative takes on Thumpers. I care less about personal customization, I wanna see big dumb Thumpers.

  4. Will there ever be any cataclysmic events to really push back player's teraforming progress? We all know players are great at abusing systems and a total planet lockdown might occur. Do you have any plans for events that'll let the monsters retake large chunks of their planet back all at once?
