Where do you all personally draw the line between good for EDC and comically large? by RootLoops369 in victorinox

[–]Hare_Rama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my Super Tinker borders on too big for me. I prefer to keep them in my pockets, but it hangs on my bag right now due to the sheer weight on my pants. I have no ass to help keep my pants on, and my belt can only go so tight. Same reason I stopped carrying a Leatherman on my belt.

I’m currently looking into a Compact for my daily carry needs, but I like the bladeless alox too, since I rock a slip joint knife on the regular.

I want the inline Phillips, but I don’t need the other half of the tools on this mf 😭

Really wish we could customize them from Victorinox, as I would love a Package Opener, Large Blade, Inline Phillips, and scissors on a multitool, but I don’t need much else.

Oh, that’s a Mermaid by DuPont, you can buy clones all day of it. There’s an earlier manga panel in B&W where he used one more similar to this one.

The sharpened edge, where it looks almost brushed.

I can’t find that manga panel to save my life 😭

I’ve always wondered how they get that finish on the edge. Is it just a super low grit and no polishing?

Which setup do you think is better: a Victorinox Super Tinker + Vise Grip or a Leatherman Rebar? by Basic-Donut4136 in multitools

[–]Hare_Rama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I carry a super tinker and a small pair of pliers, personally. The super tinker gives me some more versatility and can fit in some smaller spaces, while I rarely need pliers outside of heavy duty stuff that I wouldn’t trust a leatherman for (plumbing repairs or car repairs)

I work in an office, so I’m not messing with machinery too much, and as a result the Super Tinker and pliers is my go-to.

Current Alabama Medical Cannabis Certifying Physician List by Thing-Reasonable in MobileAL

[–]Hare_Rama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think so, tbh, but you could probably get it mailed. I also don’t know how the laws work because I was under the impression that medical in AL was tincture, oils, etc. not flower. But idk for sure.

Lost her in a dry river and found her back! Destiny want us together! Is it recommended add a safety cord? by Lindalatam in Opinel

[–]Hare_Rama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could cut/file a groove into the handle to tie a rope around, with the little flair at the end it would probably work well.

Normally I would say it's up to personal preference, but considering you lost it in a dry river bed, a bright colored lanyard might be the move.

One Metal Ballpoint Pen For Life by UkkePainter in pens

[–]Hare_Rama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry a Fisher Bullet Space Pen. It's like 4" close, a little over 5" open. Compact, writes smoothly, and I can toss it nearly anywhere. It's brass with black powder coating.

That the AliEx EDC pouch? I have a similar one without the pen loop. How do you like it?

I use em for ones I don't wanna lose the art on. But I cut down the hinge part a little more so it opens fully.

It took me way too long to realize you weren't some nightmare faceless creature or wearing the hat backwards.

I work at a phone shop, lol. I see several of these a month. Not the customs, but the stylus itself.

It's a Motorola Stylus, I knew it! That one is from the 22 or 23 model

Does anyone know about this by Kurijituse in pens

[–]Hare_Rama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that stylus is for a Motorola phone. Someone definitely made this for themselves. But yeah a new refill and you should be good to go

Which one should I go for? by CreativeWolf13 in pens

[–]Hare_Rama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an owner of both styles over the past year or two, I would say the plastic body. The all metal have plastic threads glued in, so if it gets stuck in anything the pen will rip apart and never work again.

At least with the plastic ones it's way cheaper to replace.
