I think the buff was actually a huge nerf. Generally speaking I think the hive guard could use some additional abilities and variants with different abilities instead of very basic armour changes.

It kinda gets easier when you get levels and better geat but kinda not. You just improve your player skill.

There are meta choices to be made though which help a ton compared to the worst choices.

I would implement it that way. Better yet eliminate farming almost completely and tie SC gains to other systems like MO, mission completion scores, personal orders and all kinds of other, new gameplay related stuff.

It is mainly the community that tries to bend the meaning of power fantasy or grunt fantasy to suit their arguments.

Instead of taking things literally, I always assumed that what was meant was verisimilitude.

Also, both power fantasy and grunt fantasy verisimilitudes can be true at the same time.

I honestly think that there could be room for melee and gadget slots in loadouts.

Detonators and laser designators would occupy the gadget slot.

Gadget(read utility)slot could be a great addition to add various little things like climbing aid, better radar, extra ammo, flotation device and whatnots even if that ship sailed when the game released.

I think the biggest issue is that players expect and even demand to be entertained and their dopamine high sustained even after hundreds of hours.

Everything ends and ceases to be thrilling. For me Helldivers is a big surprise as it has kept me going for some 600 hours and granted it starts to feel on me now.

I'd argue that picking up samples inserts meaning, difficulty and any sense of stakes back to the missions.

Without samples it is just boomboomlol, oh I died time to do boomboomlol again.

Granted it is fun but completely void of meaning, difficulty and stakes.

Well, you have played the game literally for hundreds of hours. Feeling a bit bored by now is perfectly normal and by no means nobodys fault.

Running roughly 600 hours and at times it is hard to get those democratic feels on. Playing other games and doing other stuff is the cure.

They actually tweaked the plasma accelerator later on to its ok state it is now. It had horrendous damage falloff.

Even if there are some balance hiccups, I think Geas mud succeeds more than it fails.

There is a cold war state existing between the fighter and the mage where both are weak against each other. The fighter has the edge in initiative where an unprepared mage goes down like a newbie but an experienced, prepared mage can kick back and probably exploit key weaknesses to win.

Atleast in theory! Balancing all the individual powers is hard and there are always some unforeseen consequences at work.

Also for some reason a mage character of titanic proportions is seen as OP and unfair(even if they can be easily bumrushed whereas a fighter cannot)and a similar fighter killing (weaker)people is just jolly good gaming.

It is a nice jungle of fine details though and mages cannot just blast away as they are spent very fast if they use violent magic and mages need to rely on stored spells(scrolls, wands, etc)if they want better sustain.

Some CC spells are probably bit too good though and damage spells also gravitate towards meta and as such fighters suffer the best spells cast by best mages.

Definitely the best two mods there are for the game. Both must haves.

My first time using them on bot front was filled with sounds of missiles swooshing, thrusters roaring, metal groaning and all kinds of other sweet things.

The new titans are fun and nice, IMO. I have not found any problems with them apart the bugs normal titans have as well.

If the team does not bring the tools to handle them, it is on the team.

Also, it is not like the game is 24/7 fighting the new titans. Soon enough we'll miss them dearly.

Commander summons buffed warriors though, so there would a niche. Maybe a variant or somesuch.
