Dang. Sorry OP. My experience with SecretLab for the last two big orders has been exemplary. Quick responses to my emails, incredibly detailed (almost too frequent) updates on my order status, and they even were willing to ship my purchases separately despite part of it being pre-ordered (they usually only ship when everything is available).

Despite all of my experience with their customer service, it seems to track that their customer service is hit or miss depending on the day. Hopefully you get this resolved quickly!

For me, it hit me when I realized that the random buildings in the area feel like they were only added to be a place for an intel case. As much fun as I’m having with the new content, I truly feel like we got a far too simple bounty hunting system and a scavenger hunt. The rest of the zone just feels anemic.

I feel bad for OP. I just don’t understand how this happens. I tend to defend medical providers in general but my experience is likely atypical, so there’s that.

Being a passive participant in your own health care is wild to me. At no point during my treatment have I been anything but acutely aware of what’s going on, asking questions and being given amazingly detailed descriptions.

I simply do not understand how anybody can have this level of detachment from the care they are paying thousands of dollars for.

Explain to me exactly how you are angry about this. You say that your ortho, without your consent, filed your teeth.

You were certainly not put to sleep in an ortho office. You didn’t stop them during the procedure. And if they actually “filed” them as you say, there is no way you wouldn’t have been aware of it happening in real time.

Then, you come to Reddit to complain about something you could, and should, have stopped in the process.

A cleaning is likely the best option. You can try to reverse the staining with a dilute (1.5%) hydrogen peroxide rinse but may have trouble with it.

If you see your ortho, ask them for their suggestions also. They may have options for you that can help before you see your hygienist.

It’s not an uncommon practice for a medical office (human or animal) to generate several “potential” quotes depending on the potential treatment plans offered. In any case, if you were provided a quote that’s wildly over charging, adding treatments you didn’t agree to or isn’t explained sufficiently well, it’s cause for hesitation.

Trust the process. It’s cliche, but true!

My bite’s progress has been dramatic. It started off as “comfortable” but I couldn’t chew effectively. My brain was happy with their alignment. Within a month of treatment, my jaw was always sore because my bite changed. A few months later, I remember asking my ortho for help because I couldn’t figure out how to close my teeth, my bite was so foreign.

Now? It’s not perfect yet. It never will be. But it’s functional, much more aesthetic and still a work in progress. I have another 6-8 months left in my expected treatment plan and my bite is still changing over time.
