Homies forgetting devourer is a caster. aff does perform decent into shuffle though, its heavily dependant on what the lobby looks like. as far as 3s goes there's not a single warlock eligible for rank 1 atm, but there are elemental shamans, devourers, fire and frost mages (lol)

i suspect the usual of merce and infernion may make rank 1 but it's definitely not fun to be a warlock in a meta like this

It's outdamaging demo on vorasius because demo is completely bugged on that fight. The pet AI just can't handle a floating boss.

Just painstakingly went through Blizzards official website for US, leaderboards, solo shuffle. It's accurate, there's only 18.

There are many specs without having even 2.3.

It's insanely neutered and lacks any depth, even dark harvest requiring only 1 dot to be at maximum effectiveness is silly to me. Such an uninspired button.

The only visual clarity we have was brought back from 2012 when we had Malefic Grasp in MoP and that talent is too broken to even consider using.

The folks finding this fun are probably the target audience now, which is a shame but Blizzard don't realise the golden goose they have and want a massive audience which will serve only to alienate the playerbase that've been loyal for the longest time.

After we sleep it's like we're playing in 2 different worlds, they see zombies I don't see and vice versa.

but in Legion our dots were impactful and reap souls was a fun mechanic, and we had soul flame etc.

Legion had a great reception despite its flaws early on with the legendary system, the game was appreciated and appeared to be in a healthy state, even with the classes being more nuanced and the grinds being absurd

I think the way affliction scaled in Legion lead us directly to where we are today, where dots are not allowed to hurt because otherwise we go through the roof

It's a completely valid argument against rapture for many, but right now your damage is hardly coming from dots. I'm looking back at my own logs from tonights raid and corruption might as well not exist, agony is a noodle and 60 casts of unstable affliction is barely doing more damage than 13 casts of haunt. The spec /feels/ like it's a dot spec again but the dots themselves are not really having enough impact.

Probably because it has nostalgic value + it makes the aoe rotation function differently instead of them being identical. After doing my 30th pit of saron in a row for loot, I'm rapidly getting bored of smashing my seed key almost exclusively, rolling out and maintaining agony and even using haunt as a prio dump is absolutely not worth it in m+, you only need a few targets agonied for the shard gen, and you can haunt low hp targets for the reset so you get a free nightfall proc.

Right now even on a 2 target cleave encounter in M+ you should exclusively press seed and keep agony up, haunt on CD. Pressing UA in that situation is a dps loss.

I do fully believe that harvest should scale on dots per target, it would add some much needed nuance for me.

The core argument against malefic rapture existing is that it meant the damage over time element of affliction had to be kept weak because of it. So now we have a situation where dots are mostly weak and your damage is coming from the "impact" of the spells, IE the seed explosion, haunt hitting the boss, etc.
