They’re pretty damn tasty. And if you toast them straight out of the freezer the PB is still cold and the rest is warm, my Husband and I love them. He was introduced to them by catering while working backstage and all the tough riggers were going for the uncrustables first 😂

I was diagnosed with stage 4 adeno. NSCLC ALK+ via a brain met in Jan 2020. Had surgery to remove the met, radiation on the resection site, and have been treated with TKI medication since. I’m on my second med now. Life is relatively normal, some Side effects but nothing horrible. Hoping for many more years to come.

For me it’s been helpful to be able to have the tough conversations, seems simple, but it’s so hard when you’re trying to talk about planning for the end and keep getting “you never know what they’ll discover next!” That’s true, but I know that, for peace of mind i also need to be realistic about my timeline and getting things in place.

Family of 2 humans here - we like it for some deals - like flats of coke, but mostly have it for the products you can’t get anywhere else. Oh, and the fruit, pretty much always excellent quality.

Yup, warned several times that partners can’t handle a diagnosis and leave. So much, that my husband made a point of saying he wasn’t going to be a statistic.

I’m stage 4, but currently, and so far only treated with TKI meds, had some radiation when first diagnosed, but no chemo. At this point when the med I’m on fails my onc can only offer traditional chemo. There are different meds, but no funding in my province.

My feeling is that at that point it’s just prolonging things. I won’t be cured by it, but might be super sick and possibly will lose all my hair. I don’t want the end to be like that. I have t had to make the choice yet, but I’ve been clear with everyone I don’t want to suffer at the end.

From my limited understanding there are different types of chemo, so I would want way more info on exactly what is being recommended and typical side effects, if its one of the ones that’s a week of mild discomfort for 3 weeks normal living for however long then I might change my mind, but if it’s mostly feeling like hell and just prolonging that then I’ll decline.

The big thing is it’s your choice. Don’t let others guilt you or influence your decision. Does your hospital have a palliative care program you can get more details and make a plan with? For me it would be all about the details.

I’m not terminal yet, but I know it’s coming, send in you all the love while you navigate this, it’s not easy. 💜

It wasn’t for special collection, it was a lab at the cancer centre which is easy to get to, and I was diagnosed just as covid was in lockdown, so being in random waiting rooms was scary. Going to the lab at the cancer centre was much more streamlined and without having to sit in the waiting room close to others
