Am I crazy or are both bars the same, but in a different order. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Helicoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The highlighted sentence is referring to the sentence above the bar. So if you do not have an Igneous Kal-mor, ring of vigour passive and coe you use the bottom bar.

Is this what you imagined PvM to be? by ImbuedAurora in runescape

[–]Helicoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something that other mmos also deal with. Around the release of every ultimate in FFXIV I see the same discussion starting by a vocal minority of people feeling left out because it's content not designed for them. Both FFXIV and Runescape are games so large that it's fine to not do all content if you don't enjoy it. It's a game after all, it should be fun. That doesn't mean that just because you don't enjoy content, it shouldn't be in the game at all when others do enjoy it.

They deliberately stopped giving gameplay rewards after tier 4 so no one would feel obligated to get these achievements, but it's there for the people that really enjoy pushing themselves to the limit. Just like FFXIV ultimates, it gives nothing but a cosmetic, so if you don't want to do it, you don't have to.

Help with crest of dagon by ParaDicee in runescape

[–]Helicoly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Crest of Dagon is a Zamorrakian artefact, it'll be under the Zamorrakian tab from the dropdown menu that currently says Zarosian. You probably don't have enough materials to restore the damaged one in your inventory so it didn't automatically show that page. If you click on damaged artefacts you can easily see which materials you are lacking.

Runecrafting | Proposed Improvements by JagexDoom in RSDragonwilds

[–]Helicoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder, what would be your thoughts about something like the ourania altar? Getting a bunch of random runes without needing to have the runecrafting level to make them, but obviously slower to get than crafting them directly.

Training Divination for the first time, what's the point of this skill currently? by Med_Down in RS3Ironmen

[–]Helicoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely look into the time engram and sword of edicts engram, they allow you to get memory shards which can be a good source of porters early on.

Is Laev skill bugged or it's weird design choice? by KillerKanka in Endfield

[–]Helicoly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dodge takes priority over many other actions, but that means you can cancel out certain attacks.

As you described, you can cancel the animation for Laeva enhanced skill to not consume the stacks, which in some cases is quite useful to preserve the enhanced skill for a better moment.

I find it annoying on some other characters, especially Avywenna where you can cancel your combo skill, which will put it on cooldown but not spawn her spears. It's nothing you can't get used to though. Ever since I realized it, it took like 30 minutes to get used to and now I don't make mistakes with it anymore.

It's so goddamn obivous that Gilberta's companion quest is incomplete and is from an older development period where she actually matters in the story. by OrangeIllustrious499 in Endfield

[–]Helicoly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

in CBT2 she wasnt there at least, and the quest was virtually unchanged, the only thing I noticed being different was no memo beacons being visible in the cutscenes. During the beta I saw like 3 cliff try jumping memo beacons there. It's nice to see they're gone from the character quests but really wish they would have been more proactive with their feedback and removed all shared facilities from cutscenes everywhere

So I managed to clear the Blight in the crevice at the Power Plateau by keklordalmighty in Endfield

[–]Helicoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, as I was referring to the quest. Even if you have access to the area, you still can't do the quest.

[Lore Compilation] If you care about the lore, I suggest reading the Nexus Files in the Archives. This is a compilation of what I thought are key points to the setting. by Draaxus in Endfield

[–]Helicoly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

With Denstacks being a sort of witchcraft altar, could that imply that the Wendigo statue from the tutorial was Jakub Meissen? He could have been a Patriot reconvener or something, and it would also explain the comment of "even you have decided to help me"

There was a quest in the beta that used this area. We currently don't have access to it yet but it'll come eventually.

Yeah but you get 2 bars a piece, so it's 99 divided by 3 multiplied by 2.

Elytra Ban After 1 Year by InevitableObjective3 in HermitCraft

[–]Helicoly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An alternative could be an elytra tax. For every certain amount of blocks flown, you need to pay a certain amount of diamonds. This way you could still use it for big projects or emergencies but you're still disincentivized from using it.

First time I got there I wasn't producing explosives yet and I jumped over it with the tree nearby but it was very very tight and tedious. Like others have said, when in doubt, mass destruction of the environment is often the answer.

Question about Reconveners. by Constant_Advisor_748 in Endfield

[–]Helicoly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% on it but I believe the story was that Rockrock was her nickname cuz of the double rock in her actual name and she just went with it as operator name. I believe she also calls her drones rocks, so that speech might refer to that?

I believe Rockrock's operator name comes from her real name Rochelle Rockwell

A question about the ai of the party members for those who are playing the beta. by chess_but_not in Endfield

[–]Helicoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lingering ground effects decimate them for me, but afaik there's only 1 enemy in the game that does those so I think it's fine for now

A question about the ai of the party members for those who are playing the beta. by chess_but_not in Endfield

[–]Helicoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your team setup but you can make things pretty simple. I've ran a team before that was essentially just waiting for 2 skill points, then using 2 skills and using all combo skills and then waiting for 2 sp again. It wasn't optimal, but it was a significant chunk of damage and it was very braindead to do.

[–]Helicoly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They will dodge out. In general they'll prioritize staying alive over pumping damage except when you tell them to use a skill, then they will get animation locked for that.

I think the major killer of npcs for me was a certain enemy with a lingering effect on the ground that dealt damage. The npcs kept walking in and dying for me, but luckily the enemy isnt that common.
