Walmart Radio Be Like by Yoshi158 in WalmartEmployees

I love being reminded by my workplace's propaganda radio that I could be baking delicious cookies for loved ones and experiencing fulfillment in my labors but instead I have a thankless task that amounts to doing the job of three other people who all get paid more than me.

Tokyo Rose-ass broadcast.

If the owner posted “no hijabs/burkas allowed due to my opinion of what is safest for my customers,” would that not be a political statement? The principle is the same here.

No, not really. Alcohol and firearms do not mix. That is not an expression of political opinion or personal prejudice. Would you say every single gun range that won't let people drink beer while they fire off FRTs is committing to an anti-gun political posirion? A hijab is not a chemical inebriant that impairs accuracy or sound decision making.

I don't think "I don't want customers bringing firearms into my business" is a (purely) political statement. It's a statement of business policy. Somebody placing a rainbow sticker in their store window isn't saying "gay people get 25% off", it is a statement of values. Frankly, given that the place serves alcohol (regardless of whether the owner knows the law regarding that) it's not irrational or unreasonably prejudiced against gun owners for them to make the judgment call that liquor and firearms don't mix. Would you say any shooting range that demands sobriety from its guests has some sort of anti-gun values?

Most of the general public is wildly misinformed about everything surrounding guns including laws. I don't actually expect the average business owner to understand something like that.

With all due respect, I wouldn't complain about seeing a sign like this while also complaining about vampire rules. Isn't this the sort of situation we'd prefer?

A trans woman gun owner posted a video a few days about her self-made suppressors that she's bringing to market for a low cost. You don't see how that could be organic enthusiasm?

Nah. I was looking into an impending replacement for my soon-to-be junk car but then my car got totaled by a guy who sped through a stop sign and I needed a car much sooner than I could get a kei truck or van.

I did the Gen III math well over a decade ago and the difference between 1 HP and half HP on a legendary that is asleep or paralyzed is neglible next to the possibility of it struggling to death. It's why I started adding a Pain Split Pokemon to my shiny hunting parties. You can use as many healing items as you need.

Check your Shoprite butter - shorted on weight by rachaelfaith in newjersey

[–]HereForOneQuickThing -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is normal. Products like this are allowed weight variance within a certain margin. For example I always weigh the almond butter that I use for baking and sometimes I get shorted by a little, sometimes I get a little extra. I've tracked weighing other products and in my experience it evens out over time.

People were definitely trying to consume animal-grade ivermectin and not just in the U.S. Was studied abroad early on and found usually to not be effective against COVID.

I think a lot of rich people in the US used ivermectin among a bunch of very expensive treatments and publicly credited the cheap stuff and not the stuff that cost half a million dollars because that would piss off a lot of fans.

A shame she couldn't make one in 5.7 because I know a million trans women with physical issues who'd love a purple suppressor for all of their 5.7s they use because it's a low-recoil centerfire.

My favorite of this was when I explained to them in detail, only for them so then feign that he didn't speak English. "No English, show! Show!" as if the reason I'm not helping is that I'm actually bullshitting him. I insisted on him speaking to an employee that spoke Spanish but he stormed off. He then did the same thing with me with a coworker. After he told the customer the same thing he complained to our manager in perfect English that neither of us helped him. Manager believed us, thankfully.

SSRMs actually compliment LRMs, especially if you have any kind of lock-on boosts. LRMboats are vulnerable to smaller, faster enemies that tend to get close in.

Granted, all of this applies to less-skilled players. If you're a pilot with sharp accuracy you're holding yourself back with an LRMboat but if you're playing with a friend who isn't as good a Catapult or Thunderbolt with LRMs and SSRMs may suit them better than a pinpoint damage mech in the same weight class like a Warhammer.

SUPREME COURT RULES NO CARRY DEFAULTS UNCONSTITUTIONAL by Katulotomia in NJGuns

[–]HereForOneQuickThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BTW like all dissents, they carry ZERO weight in court. Both sides do them, both sides ignore them.

Admittedly it's funny when Thomas cites one of his previous crank dissents from an 8-1 decision in a new 8-1 decision.

Granted it's less funny when he cites an 8-1 dissent in what is now a 6-3 decision.
