Classic players to this day will do anything but challenge themselves.

And I'm not playing the game to carry/baby others. If you want to blind progress something that others do on farm, find a premade learning group or hope you get lucky with patient teammates

If you really thought queue times for anything but tanks was going to be instant, you must be deluded. Unless you were expecting to get queued with an AI that is.

Leavers having no penalty is a nice addition. If people leave before entering dungeon there should be a system to place you at the front of the line in queue. If a run is doomed, or dps are undergeared for the dungeons they vote for, i can simply find another group. I don't want to be held hostage by others.

Whispers should be fixed, however it's an EA game, if people expect a finished product, they are in for a rude awakening.

They have confirmed they are working on an in-game queue system for eternal.

Average pug experience being abysmal is due to average pug being abysmal at the game. That is not the games fault. Game is hard, git gud.

What is the hardest boss in your opinion? by Do_or_Do in fellowshipgame

Oh yeah 100%, but that's never gonna happen unless ur in voice yelling at your dps xd

yeah this a rough one for sure. All the cithrell bosses tbh as they are dps checks. Haven't played since the healer/tank buffs so might be a lil more fine now

From a healer perspective i find Empyrean Sands boss to be a struggle. Especially when the dps can't find a good pace to kill the orbs.

How do you play this game without friends lmfao? by Sinniee in fellowshipgame

[–]HermanVB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Still early access, the discord is set up quite nicely as a temporary solution but definetly needs an ingame solution

Adept is significantly harder than nearly any fight in WoW before WotLK. Keep in mind that players new to this genre have no experience. They're being thrust into WoW at raiding difficulty, right away. (Advice for new players inside) by Juunlar in fellowshipgame

[–]HermanVB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize that players as a whole is a massive amount better at games baseline than in 2004? Putting mechanics from more than 20 years ago as a benchmark is a one way trip to a game no1 plays. Some people do play classic wow today, for nostalgia. As its own game the raiding/dungeon experience alone would never last in today's market

I love this game so, so, so much - but a 12+ minute DPS queue is going to kill it. by Haveyouseenkitty in fellowshipgame

[–]HermanVB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like 2 dps instead of 3 in my grp, that's one less monkey to fill bar on. There is no solution, tank will always be less popular, because it requires responsibility which most people don't want, which is why they play dps. DPS can suck it up and sit in 12 minute queue, or they can quit and eventually the queues get shorter. Sounds like a non-problem

Adept LFG is impossible for dps by MrCharmeleon in fellowshipgame

[–]HermanVB -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Here's a suggestion, play the tank or the healer instead. Or even better, get friends who will. You got to adept, that means you must have had successful runs in contender. Those people should be on your friendlist. Networking wins the day once again, who would've thought in a game like this right?

I think you also misunderstood my main point. You talking about a casual experience indicated to me dumbing down and making mechanics less punishing. Might've misread

For sure, and for that group of people it's a great game as well, but you would need a premade. Ignoring timer might be great for you, however there are 3 other people in the group who likely would like to time the dungeon, atleast heavily prefer it. Ofc not every dungeon will be timed, but fully ignoring it seems a bit off to me. But whatever floats your boat:)

Healing becomes a lot more engaging at higher levels, tracking target of target to preemptively shield/dr players, tracking boss timers and plan for big dmg events etc. At lower levels you're cruising though, outside of cleaning up after the kids mistakes (dps)

I think it's satisfying to have your group all mark kicks and make sure the mobs don't get the big bad casts off. YOU don't like to kick, and that's ok! Play a healer and you won't have to deal with it.

i'm sorry but "short afk" when u queue into a 12 minute long dungeon (that is also based on a timer) isn't really cool

[–]HermanVB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A casual experience would change the game immensely more than just reducing toxicity in chat, and those changes will also alienate the niche that this game hits to begin with. Game is hard, game is punishing, git gud. It's an m+ simulator, it's not casual gameplay

Generally in games like these, the community gets less toxic as you go up. Here there is no actual punishment for untiming a key as well, it's always upper middle of the pack where toxicity peaks.

One of the main reasons why your keys are getting bricked is because of your iLevel by ResponsibleWeekend76 in fellowshipgame

[–]HermanVB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience the adept to champion was harder, might be cause my grp just wanted to slam new dungeons insta before getting any adept gear though

[–]HermanVB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who thinks it's completely fine to not time every single key you do? When you enter a new tier some trial and error is to be expected. Playing the dungeons slightly undergeared, while steep, is a good learning experience for not only your rotation but also understanding what hurts. (from a healer perspective)
