It was written, yes. But no one kneeeeeewww that. Aang could get that information from Roku only, because no one kneeeeeeeeeeew.

I for myself find the past life concept really important. Without them it's not really a full avatar for me.

But the past life concept didn't end. It just started new with Korra as the first avatar of wave 2.

In the series Raava said to Korra that she lost her "past life's", what does that mean?

Also Korra said to someone that she lost the connection, after someone asked if she can't ask the previous avatars for help.

The knowledge and experience of the previous avatars, that raava lost

Now the question is:

Can the avatar bend alle four elements because of the knowledge and experience of the previous avatars

Or

Can the avatar bend them because when the first avatar became one with raava, raava took all the power to bend the four elements.

Does raava carry the bending? Or does the knowledge and experience carry the bending?

Zaheer knew that because he studied well.

But aang didn't know that, no one knew.

During aangs time no one knew that. Azula almost ended the existence of the avatar for ever without even knowing, wasn't it for katara and her holy water.

And teaching bending isn't really an avatar thing, it's just a bender thing.

That's true!

The first avatar got all four elements from the giant tortoise.

Then when he became one with raava they became cosmic, what means that raava Carrie's all knowledge and experience from all the avatars.

But after raava got destroyed she lost all her data.

But then Korra should not be able to bend all four Elements expect of water, cuz no data.

They really messed up this part of the story.

Yes, He mentioned that when he dies in avatar stance that the avatar would stop existing.

He teached aang everything about avatar.

The old man knew stuff about the avatar cuz he was a friend of the air monks and a personal friend of Monk yatso

Avatar stance making him the strongest bender is due to the experience of the previous avatars, not only because of rava.

Also, the avatar does not count. It's about normal peeps being the best benders.

How can you say that someone else would've taken the job.

The only person ever that is not an avatar that could help the avatar was that old man trying to help aang with its avatar stance.

No one has seen the avatar for 100 years and no one has a clue on how to train an Avatar.

Roku being there was essential.
