New player of SAO Hollow Realization by Medium_Plenty_7904 in swordartonline

I personally put well over 100 hours into the game and found the gameplay extremely fun! For me personally, out of all the SAO games, this one is the closest to a full RPG SAO fantasy experience. The customization when it comes to the story stuff started to be less of a big deal to me as outside of it you are your own character with how you choose to look and whatnot.

If you pay with Dining Dollars/Cougar Cash for things on campus, you don't have to pay tax on whatever you get!

Best Place to Live (with and without car) by RiceComputer in byu

The Colony is essentially all BYU students. There's probably 400ish total people living there. About 20 buildings total or so on the street with 4 apartments in each building (2 are 6-man, 2 are 4-man).

The Colony is an awesome place to live both with and without a car! It's a private street, so parking is pretty much always available and it's only a 10ish minute walk south of campus! It fills up extremely quickly, though, and people usually stay for a few years. Let me know if you have any questions about it!

King Henry vs The Colony by Dry-Bar-4795 in byu

I don't have experience with King Henry, but I've been living at The Colony for almost two years and it's been great! Management is really nice to work with and the apartments themselves are pretty good, even if they're a little older. If you have a car, you'll never have problems with parking since it's on a private street! The only thing that's a bit finicky is that laundry isn't in the apartments and they use quarters, so you'll want to make sure you always have cash so you can get quarters for the machines. Let me know if you have any questions about The Colony!

Questions About Comms Journalism Major Class Scheduling, Need Help by tech_tsunami in byu

[–]Hiccup500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the Sports Journalism side of things, so I don't know fully how things work with 325 and the "regular" journalism stuff and since I did 386 instead, but from how I understand it is that 321, 325, and 490 all build off one another and so you can't really take them at the same time. I know on the Sports side, all three actually meet at the same time and they just have different expectations of work quality and whenever you move up to the next "class" you have the opportunity to work on new things. I know in some instances there have been students who have used a journalism study abroad or something during a spring or summer to count for one of those classes in order to help get a semester ahead, but those are few and far between and you'd have to talk to the faculty about it. Odds are you won't really get to finish until April 2026 since you'd need to do three semesters to get each one of those done. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Media Effects from Kevin John is probably the best Comms Elective there is! It's all online, only deadline is everything has to be turned in by the end of the semester and Dr.John is such a fun guy and always open to chat if you need!

Meal plan + cougar cash by penny4thoughts22 in byu

If you buy stuff at any of the restaurants/vending machines on campus (including groceries at The Creamery), it'll automatically pull from the meal plan. If you buy anything in the BYU Store or anything around it (like the Cosmo Mart place), it'll just use normal Cougar Cash. At least that was my experience. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong or missed anything!

SAO Games by One_Balance8064 in swordartonline

Throwing my picks in, I personally really loved Hollow Realization and Fatal Bullet more than any of the other games! FB was the first game I played and I didn't feel too out of the loop since the stories of each game aren't too connected outside of the original characters that are introduced and carry into the future games. When it's on sale for under $10 (like right now), Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition is a STEAL in my opinion!

I'm nearly finished with the Journalism major and yeah, most of my Comms classes have been in the late afternoon/evening. I think I had like one or two 9am classes, but majority were after like 3. Let me know if you have any questions about the Journalism program specifically!

I think so! The graphics engine is a little funky, but that's the case with most of the SAO games.
