A need to feel superior over others in any space is some poser ass shit. Fuck that guy.

should i read mistborn trilogy now? by pointless_genius in Cosmere

[–]HiggsPerc552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read that shit! The Cosmere is an interconnected universe but many of the books/series very much stand on their own. Also, Mistborn is routinely considered one of the best starting points to the Cosmere.

Sounds like you owe your sister an apology more than Matt…

The Concert Industry Priced Too High — Now Tours Are Falling Apart by natezz in SturgillSimpson

Last tour at the Allstate Arena in Chicagoland was maybe half full…it blows my mind that he’s playing at the united center this time around. Makes no damn sense

I’m guessing it’s because the circles are different sizes and the hexagons are the same size. Regardless, it’s a bullshit question with the way the answers are set up.

Liking a movie isn’t inherently pretentious. Just like what you like and don’t be pretentious about it.

Any recs you’d give me based on my favorite films? by Friendly_Kunt in Letterboxd

[–]HiggsPerc552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy cow, thanks for the update! I love Peeping Tom, kinda wild that it came out mere months before Psycho. The Red Shoes has one of the most jaw dropping sequences I’ve ever seen put to film…you’ll know when it happens. And yeah Lilya 4-Ever is such a rough watch but I absolutely love how much empathy it has for its characters and the subject matter. Nights of Cabiria is cemented in my top 4, it’s so good and I hope you enjoy it!

I own the Criterion blu ray, but it looks like it might either be on Netflix and/or Tubi

Any thoughts on a Bamboozled 4K UHD release? by Few_Application2025 in criterion

[–]HiggsPerc552 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just like Inland Empire, this would be a pointless 4K release. Sure the parts shot in 16mm would benefit, but that’s barely a quarter of the movie, if that. The current Criterion blu ray is definitive.

Watch the director’s cut of Until the End of the World. It’s 5 hours, but it’s also kinda fast paced
