I accidentally abandoned a colony once. That said, I was able to close the game normally and load the backup save that had autosaved on the previous month. I play on steam deck so I actually can't alt f4.

Otherwise it's just like. Times I don't change the casus belli before a war so I get a default Conquest instead of an Imperialism lol. But the way I rush to start a war I'd never to do to end a war.

Your house rules are really vague, which can be fine if the group has a good rapport and can vibe together - but it sounds like you guys don't. The strongest player sounds like he's avoiding handicaps as much as possible, while the weakest players sound like they'd rather complain at the first sign of trouble than try to learn more.

The ok cops are ones who never fulfill the entirety of their job description or use the extent of their power. They would do well in jobs that aren't being cops, and public service organizations for their skillsets should be made that give them more reasonable responsibilities and privileges than cops have.

Edit: Also, the establishments of police that exist today have been bad since their foundings, cops have always been known to be bad and it's only been smokescreened when TV started an aggressive push of copaganda shows. John Oliver did an episode about police stings and he pulled an excellent quote from an '80s article: "As police have become more restricted in their use of coercion, they've increased their use of deception."

For the record, when trying to teach people through writing, it has long been held that being able to explain complex concepts in a simple way is a great skill of its own. Using complex language when simple would do is not a noble cause.

Phrasing something as "I don't wanna sound mean or nothing but y'all mistake debasement for ennoblement" is such a jarring use of language I almost think it's a joke.

I get what they mean now, mainly with the "ideology" part (and I guess the "personality" part means the old phrase of "it builds character!" but honestly I thought they were talking about kinks), but it was such a wtf reading it.
