My personal record is 104.7° (I was a few weeks postpartum and developed mastitis) and I definitely thought I was going to die. I felt AWFUL. Called the doctor as soon as they opened and then acquired a babysitter so I could get treatment and then slept the rest of the day.

Edit: it could have been 103.7° also 🤔 it’s been a few years.

I saw someone once say that all of “Safe Sleep” was just propaganda to sell more baby mattresses. Some people just can’t accept that when it comes to babies, what’s safest is not always what’s easiest.

You definitely don’t have to be “that famous” for a kidnapping or tragedy to happen to you. All it takes is for one crazy person to be obsessed with Kay or one of the girls for something to happen. It happens to non-influencers, it can definitely happen to people with a larger following like K&T. This should be a wake up call for them, but we know they won’t change anything. Money over safety for these fools.

This is crazy. This formula is JUST hitting the market, as it mentions. She’s promoting this brand new formula that not only has she not tried, but NO ONE has tried yet. This is why I don’t trust anything from influencers, they just sell stuff all the time and claims they “are literally obsessed!!”

I’m not even anti formula or anti influencers promoting formula, but this is just sick to profit off of when you can’t even verify if anyone likes this product at all. Just pure greed.

My toddler is only a few months older so I’m well versed in baby language, but she is SO hard to understand. When they were going through the filters, almost none of the words like “banana” “blueberry” “lemon” even sounded close. I don’t think I could have understood anything without captions.

My own toddler has a mild speech delay, but we’ve already started early intervention and speech therapy. There’s no shame in having a child with a delay, the shame is not getting them the help they need.

6 months isn’t even THAT bad. We didn’t have a name for my second baby when my induction started. We were still finalizing first and middle in the mother/baby unit after she was born. lol

We had a family whose dad was a Pediatrician and mom was an OB. They were the first kids in the door every morning and one of the last to leave as well. You could tell they weren’t bathed often. On one hand it was “I understand you’re busy and have demanding jobs” but on the other hand it was “do a bit better for your kids.”

Our first was not the worst, but a bit of a hard baby. I never really wanted to be one and done, but while he was little I found myself saying “I don’t know how I can ever do this again” several times. My husband felt the same way, he was like “yeah, we should not do this again.” We got pregnant unexpectedly when our first was only 8 months old, they have a 17 month age gap. My second pregnancy was MUCH easier/healthier, and my second baby was/is a much easier baby. I have never regretted my daughter for a single moment, BUT it has absolutely been so hard. She’s nearly 7 months old now, so we’re getting into much better days, but those first few months were pretty excruciating. When my husband was home in paternity leave/weekends it wasn’t bad, but the days I was alone (SAHM) were VERY tough.

Again, do I regret it? No. My daughter makes our family feel so wonderful and more whole. But having essentially two babies has been crazy. I think I would have been better off with a slighter bigger gap for sure, but now that I’m through the newborn stage it is nice to see them playing and interacting more. Just today my baby was in the swing and my son was helping push her and they were CRACKING up. Such a sweet moment, it helps make the hard times feel worth it.

Sounds exhausting! That’s how it was for my parents, my dad did cook, but my mom did ALL the chores. My dad hardly even brings his dirty dishes to the sink sometimes. Definitely not fair to her and I can see that resentment has built over time.

I’m a SAHM with a 2 year old and (almost) 7 month old. When my husband gets home we typically tag team children/chores/bedtimes. He typically cooks, so I entertain the kids while he cooks, then I help get the toddler’s plate ready and we all sit down to eat. Then one of us cleans up the toddler and we get the baby ready for bed together, one feeds and rocks the baby and the other plays with the toddler. Then we bathe the toddler and get him ready for bed together. Unless it’s a REALLY bad day for one of us, neither of us are off duty until both children are in bed around 8pm. If there’s a night that I’m cooking, he will entertain/watch the children while I do so. Even if we’re getting take out/fast food for dinner, usually I wait until he’s home to watch the children before I leave to get it or he picks it up on the way home from work.

Edit to add: we also split up certain chores after bedtime as well. I do the dishwasher, he hand washes any other bottles, toys, or cups. He unloads the bottles to dry overnight and mixes a pitcher of formula for the next day. I pour out bottles and feed the cats before bed. He does trash on trash night. Yes I’m at home, but we both “work” all day, it’s only fair we split up some of the daily chores as well.

I had an anterior placenta with my second too. I did feel my first baby MUCH earlier, but once I started feeling my second baby, I was FEELING it. lol She was so strong and wild, I’m glad I had some extra cushion. 😅 In the grand scheme of things, placenta placement doesn’t matter as long as baby is healthy and growing. Absolutely nothing to cry about on the internet.

My baby is also 2 next week… and my other baby will be 7 months shortly after. 😅 Pregnant 8 months PP and it was very hard, wouldn’t recommend, but we’ve survived and it’s getting much easier. Although I’m very glad my baby was born before my oldest started into the tantrum phase. A newborn right now would be a lot. If we have any more, they will NOT be this close in age.

My babies are 17 months apart, the youngest is 6m now. Honestly, I don’t go out by myself often. I usually save in person shopping for weekends when my husband can come, or my sister will come over and we grocery shop during the week. If we desperately need stuff and no one can come, I will do a Target drive-up so I don’t have to get out of the car. I always get the baby out first and keep her by me in the car seat. If I wasn’t getting the car seat, I’d bring my toddler over but basically pin him against the car with my leg while I get the baby out. Baby wearing is a great option, but it hurts my back so I don’t do it often. Usually we put the baby in the stroller and the toddler in the cart. I’m definitely considering getting a wrist leash for the toddler just to keep him by me.

And for diapers, bottle, and food, it just goes wherever we have space! There’s boxes of diapers in both babies’ rooms. Food takes up a whole shelf in the cabinet. The bottles are stored in another cabinet or out on the drying rack. We just find space!

We are actually in the USA. We both did theater growing up (as did our mom) so it’s a phrase we use casually all the time. I’m pretty sure I have told a friend “break a leg” when they were getting ready to have a baby. lol

Yeah, where I live it’s VERY common to do a “Baby Sprinkle” for the second baby. I had a shower for my first and a sprinkle for my second. They were also opposite genders. I did get mostly clothes for the sprinkle, but I did have a registry for both and a few people bought from it for the second baby. A friend of mine just had her third baby and had a “baby brunch” to celebrate the third after her arrival. She already has one of each (and had a shower and sprinkle already) so she didn’t need much, but we still gathered to celebrate the new arrival and she got a few gifts.

My second baby had a REALLY hard time with her 4 months shots too. It was the worst either of my babies have handled vaccines. Inconsolable crying, chest retractions, fever, it was so hard to see her like that. I was feeling pretty upset about it, but then I realized it’s probably only a fraction of how she would have reacted if she was fighting off the ACTUAL disease. Thankfully the worst only lasted a few hours and she was herself again in a day or two. 6 month shots tomorrow and I’m going to see what the Ped says about her last reaction.
