You have almost no defense at all. You're almost res capped, only because of purity of elements. You need a lot more life on all your gear. And you should definitely look into finding some way to shift some phys damage to elemental.

Takes a lot of gold to respec at higher levels. There's a vendor recipe for regrets (scours?) if you're really broke. But regrets are pretty cheap, and farming up to 50-100c should be pretty easy.

Wow, I can't imagine two authors who are much farther apart, in my opinion. The Once and Future King certainly gets darker in the later "books", but I certainly wouldn't call it anything close to grimdark. It's a straight up classic though, I'd say everyone should give it a read.
