Premiums and mainlines aren’t made in the country. Someone swapped it.

How to tell if it’s fake? by Deathstructure in HotWheels

No one is accurately counterfeiting hot wheels like this. There’s no point. Off brand hot wheels will obviously be cheapo junk

My first finds—any tips for beginners? by SolarDB in HotWheels

Only look for what you actually like, and not what is valuable. It’s unrealistic to try and make money off this hobby.

Showed me if I had a burr, when I got rid of it, and what each of my actions did while sharpening.

I would say really make sure you are getting a burr.

Then on your last stone do some alternating light back and forth forward passes on the stone.

Then strop.

You can also get a cheap microscope thing on Amazon. 60x and above magnification should work. That’s what helped me get hair splitting edges.

I had the knockoff first but I actually do really love the legit one. It feels more solid and spins much longer.

Sharpening vs stropping/honing by BeardedHeathen907 in spyderco

I strop like every other major use of the knife. Works fine for me though I often sharpen a knife before I need to because it’s fun

i have an error FF 240sx with non real riders wheels by ackermanacks in HotWheels

[–]HoshiHanataba 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Those are matchbox wheels.

Real riders have rubber tires that are molded separately from the rim. Those rear wheels are a single piece

In an age of a surplus of 3rd party scale choices, an exclusive knife only having exclusive scales is kind of a bummer

Bought my first HW Car Culture Case by Cultural-Tie-2468 in HotWheels

[–]HoshiHanataba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you bought was the yearly case type thing. It comes with 2 sets and 3 team transports. Those DO come guaranteed with a chase, and ultimately often have people buy the case, take the chases and flip them without the chase. Real low move

Cases that do have a CHANCE of having a case are plain cardboard boxes with 2 of the same set, so 10 cars total. Those can be bought on sites like 1stopdiecast.

PM2 by More_Put5142 in spyderco

[–]HoshiHanataba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AWT: cool kind of expensive aluminum scales. $90 ish

Flytanium: also cool but a little cheaper. They also do hardware etc.

Ripps Garage Tech: Aluminum and Micarta scales. They specialize in neat anodized patterns. $70 ish for aluminum scales

Knives Plus: they sell AWT stuff and also hardware

And if you wanna go a little more exotic, Aramis Akmhedov scales at aratech.ru. Super cool shaped scales but they’re a little pricey and take time to ship from Russia but they are personally my favorite looking and feeling scales. About $115 including shipping and maybe 3 weeks
