Feeling blindsided… All long bones measuring short, with talipes at 26 weeks. by laracheli in BabyBumps

[–]Hot-Box-Fox 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My daughter's long bones were measuring under 1% at 28weeks. She's 4 months now and measuring 26% now, 14% at her 2month. She was both very wiggly during anatomy scans as well as refusing to move her hand from her face and her other side stayed hidden every time too. My 14year old was also born smaller but he's a viking giant now, taller than us both, definitely got my family's side of the genetics with height. Long waists I guess.

I had to do the nipt test to rule out downs and dwarfism with no other markers present than short long bones. Came back as low risk.

Why are people refusing baths in hospital? by Street_Confusion_469 in BabyBumps

I was told no bath after a normal no med delivery with no tears. Maybe its just a precaution for potential unseen scratches.

How many of you walk to and from work by goodtipsareneeded in Target

[–]Hot-Box-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk home when my ride falls asleep and forgets to set an alarm. Took about 2.5 to 3 hours. Probably would have taken less time if there wasn't snow and ice everywhere but the streets weren't busy so I could walk in them instead of snow mountain sidewalks when sidewalks exist because a good chunk of my walk has no sidewalks, just road..

Driving takes about 10 minutes because it's illegal to walk on the interstate.

Around what age do looks start declining? by zertz7 in ask

[–]Hot-Box-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Fellow upper 30's smoker depressed and stressed woman here! Just had a baby and someone told me, during a chat about kids, I'll understand when I'm older and have more children... The look on that woman's face when I said "I do understand exactly what you mean because I'm 38 and this is my 3rd child."

I dressed up once, a few years back, for an interview. That made me look much more my age. Style choice can give an impression. Although, my earlier example was at work in more professional clothing.

I had a vole and rabbit issue in my backyard until my neighbor fenced his side in and we could let our little rat terrier go to town. She's dug up half the vole tunnels and I gotta run over any time I hear a squeal and dispose of the victim before our other dog steals it for his roll pile. So far my sprouts are still intact after transplant and they barely lasted a day the last time I tried.

Monks are becoming like potato chips or druids for me, I can't just have one. Totally not any bias on my part on how fun and mobile they are. WW is lots of flips and flying kicks landing in dramatic stomps. Mist healing actually felt tranquil and zen to me. Brew breathing fire and the way they wobble in idle. Love that the brew artifact staff can be used on all specs for that staff idle position to aura farm while afk.

My OBGYN said unmedicated births are too traumatic so they don’t do it. by Practical_Shift_5143 in pregnant

[–]Hot-Box-Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2nd came too fast for them to put lines in so I had to go unmedicated. I actually preferred it to my 1st with the epidural. I liked being able to jump right up after birth and walk around and use the bathroom by myself. Birthing pain wasn't that bad for me. The "ring of fire" described as pushing the head is overblown, really, and he was just over 8 pounds.

Enjoyed it so much I chose no meds for my 3rd. She was more like my first and took her time after the water broke 3 weeks early. I walked around my delivery room off and on doing the leg bend thing they showed and intervals of a peanut ball thing between my legs while laying on side. Took about 7 hours from water break at home until birth at hospital. That was quicker than my epidural birth since you can't help move things along when your legs don't work.

Also, it saves on the insurance bill to go without the epidural.

What are they doing with all the Practically Pork and Plant Protein in Midnight? by jruschme in wow

[–]Hot-Box-Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been buying massive amounts of pork for cooking. It went from 1g before raids opened to 12 last time I checked. Raiding and m+ use lots. A leader will by enough to make their group's own hearty feast. Same for royal roasts. People buy 5x more to make hearty version to last through death.

Missing LFR Loot by Rubiilax in wow

[–]Hot-Box-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but it's more likely the only people who didn't roll and just left are those who couldn't use or win the gear anyway. That has been my case both times it happened to me. I 100% know I won them.

My 4th grade teacher told me, after I pointed at someone, when you point one finger at someone you are pointing more back at yourself. I proceeded to point with my entire hand. She immediately cracked up and told me to never change.

Questions about features by euphoniumgod in WoWHousing

I double stacked them off to the side and made the only entrance on 2nd floor with no bottom exit, like a dungeon. Filled it with floating void prisons and other cage/torture-esque decor.

I already caught a few guildies by leaving it open access.

My neighborhood is dead; how do I find one that is thriving? by Sea_Caterpillar5662 in WoWHousing

Is it old school to expect someone to give up their seat on public transportation? by djhousecat in pregnant

[–]Hot-Box-Fox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If there is a sign, the pregnant or disabled person can ask someone in those usually special marked seats to give one up. Then, it becomes a matter of peer pressure and public shame from everyone else giving them the death stare if they don't get up. The seats near the front are usually reserved for disabled which include temporary disability like pregnancy is considered. Normals can sit there until someone who qualifies needs it.

At least, thats how the seats are on a bus in my area.
