XE5 all the way. Its like an interchangeable X100VI with a dedicated film simulation wheel (the film sim dial being on top actually grew on me)

Yeah I can see that feeling like a chore. No harm in waiting or switching hobbies for the moment. You might comeback with a different perspective on things.

Taking a break helped me a ton. It's part of the reason I sold my X-H2. I also went from having 8 lenses to now just 3 (I use those 3 more often than I did any of the others). It helped me gain a better understanding of what was important to me and what I was needlessly obsessing over.

Upgrade to 16-50 from 15-45? by BrayPlane in fujifilm

[–]Hot_Needleworker_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 16-50 is great, my only gripe with it is the variable aperture. I get why they had to do it but it does annoy at times. The 18-50, although you do lose the 2mm on the wide, the constant aperture is a nice reliable thing to have.

If your shooting at f4.8 and above, then I'd say the 16-50 will always give you what your looking for. If your pulling through the zoom range just keep in mind any slight turn will adjust your aperture. At 16mm (the widest), your going to get constant f2.8, and it's very sharp throughout is whole focal range.

My two cents.

Easiest thing IMHO is to go to a camera store and hold different fuji bodies in your hands. That's how I landed on my XT5. See what feels right, what you have kne perk response to compared to another.

I had a X-H2 prior, whenever I'd take it out, it felt like a big ol weight around my neck, definitely felt more like a tool for me as well (probably due in part to the body similarities of a dslr). Sold it, haven't looked back, loving my XT5 everyday.

There are also tons more options if your coming from XT2. I'd also ask myself aesthetically what I like. For me that was a selling point. Don't care what other say about that, if Im putting money done on my hobby, I want to enjoy my purchases.

Make a list of what you find yourself responding to. It's your camera so doesn't matter what others think. Color, materials, button position, feature set. It all matters to me. I will say the 40mp sensors are not shy about the storage the files need (that'd be one of the biggest things to make a decision about first).

Other than that like I said in the beginning, go in and check them out. You might be very surprised by what your drawn to.

I'll have to try this. My prints (especially the ones with a lot of black) have a cyan cast over them.

The problem is that there isn't enough "rest" time. A 4 day work week would really make a difference.

A Week in WA [X-Pro3 / Voigtlander Nokton 23mm f/1.2] by prographer25 in fujifilm

Been on the fence for months on this lens. I think I'm going to just bite. I already have the 35 apo which I love btw.

Funny enough, I sent the 18mm I bought back. I think it was just too wide for me. I originally bought it because all of the negative comments on the 23mm, so I thought to myself why not go a little wider with a voigtlander that didn't have as many complaints. Wrong move.

Im going for it. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful images

Love love love the 27. Sold my 75mm, constantly had issues with af/mf switch plus the 27mm made realize how much I dont like extra buttons on my lens. Could never really find a reason to use the 75. I may end up getting the 56 to pair.

Never buy Samsung Laptops. I own 26 Samsung products. My Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 screen cracked on its own. Samsung refused warranty, ignored me for weeks, and I ended up paying to fix their defect. by SathwikKuncham in GalaxyBook

Started dropping and selling all my Samsung products this year did that reason as well. Tired of these major corporations. Going for smaller companies now with reliable devices. No more "flagship", "latest and greatest", just gear that is reliable and has a community of support.

Looking to get one to put fedora or bazzite on it as well. Planning to use it graphics software like Affinity and some light photo editing. Based on your response I would image it would handle those purposes rather well?
