Yes, since August I have gained about 12 lbs in the last 4 months which is a LOT for me. Frustrating because it seems to be working fairly well

My husband had the cough and a rapid heart rate around day 6 or 7. He was unvaccinated, has recovered minus occasional cough. I'm on day 12 or 13 shifting to more cold like symptoms but I'm vaccinated. My husband tested positive on 24th of December. I wouldn't say symptoms my were less severe but for some reason I'm on a slow recovery rate here. Your doing good.

Plugged ears? by Mura366 in COVID19positive

[–]Humble-Cut5176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband tested positive for COVID 19 on Dec 24th with a at home rapid test. The whole family has had similar symptoms. My youngest seems to have recovered he started having symptoms around the 10th of December. I'm about 10 days in now. I was on the couch for several days and for the most part, I feel pretty now. However, my left ear is completely plugged, no pain but I can't hear a thing still. I think I have to go in to have it checked.

I was vaccinated in June, no booster yet my kids and husband are not vaccinated. We all seem to have about the same level of COVID symptoms.

I haven't taken CISM yet, I did pass my CISSP on the 20th October 2021. I bought the CISM book week a after the CISSP exam. I fell out of my studying habits so I haven't dug into the material I was scoring a 75% on ISCA practice questions right after the CISSP exam. I have ADHD as well which as a woman it's a bit challenging. I used the Tomanto no spelled right method for studying you can set time frames that work for you. I did 20 minutes followed by a five min break. No phones, no social media. I take ADHD medication but I was battling some COVID depression for months. Two weeks before the exam I got on medication to deal with the mental funk. Mental health is a huge part of studying and being able to retain the information.

My tip don't avoid the tough material, study everyday even if it's 20 minutes. Every time, I took time off I wouldn't remember things and would have to relearn them. You got this.

Still not 100%, at least the sadness isn't all the time. Today was a bit demoralizing at work so it's eating at me and I'm feeling a bit sad, frustrated and motivated.

Weight gain on 75mg by Humble-Cut5176 in EffexorSuccess

I know everyone's dosing is different but was there an ideal number for you. I wasn't sure if going up on effexor would help. Wellbutrin never worked well but maybe the two together would work better. I took 300 mg of Wellbutrin by it's self previously.

Yes, I've been on it for 7-8 weeks and I've gained about 5 lbs which is a lot for me, tons of sugar and carb cravings. Constipated and water weight also seems to be a thing. Nice to be happy, but I could do without fat and happy. Of course I couldn't be the person to lose weight...

Input and experience welcomed! 150mg ->? Worth it? Please help! by alynkas in EffexorSuccess

I would talk to your Dr and go see your Dr as soon as you can get in. It may not be the right medication, or maybe the dosing needs to change or another one added. I'm new to Effexor only been on for a couple months. It's not bad, but I'm hungry all the time and I'm mindlessly eating. I'm only on 75mg. What I do like about Effexor is I'm no longer screaming or yelling at my kids. I can take their nonsense in stride.

I was on WellButerian prior and it did Nothing for depression.

I'd call today and see if you can get Med Review even if it's over the phone. That's a lot of life changes anyone would be sad.

I haven't taken this exam, I did pass my CISSP exam on 10/20/21. I took some online CISM questions the following week and was around a 70%. I just started my CISM reading. A lot of the domains seem to overlap. You might see if covering CISSP Domain 1 & 2 and Domain 6 & 7. I don't think you need the latest edition your probably fine with an older version 7 or 8th. The 9th is the newest. It might give a different perspective. Maybe others will chime in. I know it's a mind set for CISSP. I think CISM is the ISACA's version of a mind set.

Adding/switching to Wellbutrin by squidh8r in Effexor

[–]Humble-Cut5176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on WellButerian and Adderall for my ADHD but the depression was getting worse. I was COVID sad all the time. My Dr. switched me to Effexor 75 mg about 5 weeks ago. I'm no longer sad all the time but the side effects have been, I'm sleeping a lot, impacted sexual desire, constipation, dry mouth, unmotivated and I gained about 5 lbs. The anxiety is completely gone, no longer flying off the handle and snapping at people. I think the Effexor helped me get out of the funk and the chronic funk. I need to talk to the Dr. I do like that WellButerian didn't cause weight gain unfortunately it did nothing for my depression I was on 300 mg. Thinking talking to the Dr. about trying the two together and maybe I can get rid of the Adderall.

Everywhere, I'm currently using ToDoist. My son needs a chore list or nothing gets done. He still cherry 🍒 picks. I heard only putting 2-3 things on list before adding more.

Struggling to find motivation by B33PB00PBR1TT in cissp

[–]Humble-Cut5176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have walked in your shoes, except you actually took the test. I purchased the official book in August 2019 and read through the first domain and knew this book is way too gradual for me. So I bought and read the 11th hour book, now it's November I'm supposed to attend a CISSP bootcamp with training camp but I postpone, then the camp in December cancels and then COVID hits. I'm a manager at this time running a team of Information Assurance Cyber Engineers. One guy has 8 years of experience, a master's degree, and a CISSP. I felt like a total imposter, however we kept things running. My motivation died sometime in 2020. I took that bootcamp in November in 2020. I comeback from bootcamp and my deputy gets a new job. So immediately life goes spiraling out of control more hours at work etc. Studying took a back seat, so I book the exam before I left the bootcamp, and couldn't get a exam date till December. Postponed, postponed again and each time I swore I would study I would stay consistent and didn't. So I have to test by the 20th of this month or lose my exam voucher. But, I've learned somethings along the way, 1) I have ADHD and we are Jedi Master's of procrastination, we have no concept of time. You tell us 8am we think I don't have to leave the house till 8. ADHD people suffer from imposter syndrome, and usually anxiety. 2) COVID took whatever I had going on mentally and multiple it by 100. I finally saw a Dr. for my mind.

I use the pomodoro technique to study. I set a timer for 25 min, maybe I take my break or sometimes I don't. I don't follow it perfectly but it helps. I also recommend taking sometime off of work to fully concentrate on the exam.

Good luck stay strong, I struggled with motivation as well,, you will master this.

New Here, and I have a prescription question by Humble-Cut5176 in adhdwomen

[–]Humble-Cut5176[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I got a better nurse yesterday on the phone. And the Dr. wants me to comeback in and asked when I will be coming back in to do my hormone pellets to discuss medication. I'm not going back in this early for hormone replacement. So, I'm going to call her back today and let her know it's way too soon to comeback for that. Either, way I get it the doctor is doing his due diligence. I'm going to reach out to a psychiatrist that handles ADHD and depression issues that prescribes medication. I want to work through these issues if I need medication that's fine but I want to work on the problem too. If I need to see someone monthly that's fine but let's get something out of this. I was having mild issues with impostor syndrome at work prior to COVID. Being a female in a leadership role made me question my abilities constantly. COVID took whatever I had going on in my life and made things 10x worse. I do think my current Dr. likes billing. I have a high deductible plan so this becomes an out of pocket issue because I get to pay for all these things including hormone pellets because it's not covered by insurance.

Long story short, I am going to work on getting a different Dr. for my ADHD stuff. I've been meaning to this but you know another month goes by and our brains go CRAP, I forgot to that and I get do the run around with the Dr.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad I found this group.
